Would rather get the Feuerbach Securitate, Grenzer box, Puppets, and a new Spektr Sniper than some stupid bikes kthx.
These look okay. Not a fan of the pose for the 112. "Derp i gots an axe and u needs to no dat i gots an axe cuz tat's teh meme about me!". Would rather have seen the axe just strapped to the bike and it looking like he was en route to a casualty. Dart is "meh". It's better than the arena game sculpt but it otherwise feels a bit too generic. Not bad, not great. Kaizoku is another perfect example of what CB could do if they'd take their fingers out of their ears and start doing more multi-arm sculpts. Kamau is...yeah. She looks like she's moving, I guess? Another "helm half-opened for whatever reason" sculpt waving a pistol around like a jackass.
So one thing I'm gonna say is, I think the bike will make the 112 much better, and make taking him for use as a doctor much more viable in Ariadna. That now being said. Please no more fucking bikes. I am getting so sick of seeing more and more bike troops piled into Ariadna. Or really just bikes in general, just about everytime I see them, they just feel so out of place. This only compounded by the fact we almost never get dismounted models of these units. (Yes I am aware that one exists for the 112 because he came out first. But the unreleased Dynamo's want to fight on foot after using their bikes to move up the board so they had better get a mounted and dismounted version in the box) I really dig the Kazak Doctor. Hoping they'll get a chance to join links in TAK with the 112 change. If the bike becomes just a profile option for the 112 they almost might as well remove the kazak doc. Good lord do I love the new Dozer. A+ there CB. With that pose and quality update he almost looks like could have been a spec ops. Good to see a unit that has to be shared and taken across all the sectorals getting such a great look. ^^ I like this version of Dart more than the LE. I love the look of the aleph SMG and prefer it to her bow. JSA model looks good. Kamau.. meh. I don't like open visors. especially on a hacker in a hacking pose.
I gotta say when I first saw the releases I was a little meh on the Kamau Hacker but the more I look the more I like it. I actually really like all the releases for this month!
Well, ALEPH forces are the most advanced in the Human Sphere, and since that doesn't translate into much heavy weaponry at all (still waiting for that HRMC the RPG says is so heavily used by Aleph forces it factors in the manufacturer's marketing, CB! I'll take it on a Rudra or an Ajax-like lhost, please!), they've got to use their advanced tech somewhere - the bow transforms into an SMG and back, depending on tactical need. What's that? You say the two modes don't look anything alike? Well, that's just more evidence of how advanced the tech is, isn't it? No need for 'kibble', as the Transformers fandom refers to it, hanging off each mode that's only there for functionality in the other mode. Truly, Aleph's forces get the best of everything!
As Balewolf noted, that's where the SEALs wear their rebreathers. Because they usually carry a limpet mine (or even a parachute!) on their backs. And actually, the older submarine firefighting masks were chest rigs, not backpacks like a civilian firefighter's air pack.
I've got to conclude the Kamau "PanO" backpack is the Hacking Device, as every other Kamau sculpt has their scuba gear on their back. As does the Croc Man sniper, but not the hacker, who also has the "PanO" backpack and has given up on scuba gear entirely (all that tense infowar has resulted in him being able to hold his breath for however long is necessary to breach the firewall...).
The Kamau hacker has given up on scuba gear, because you don't hack underwater. Wifi hates water, or maybe water hates wifi, either way it doesn't work very well. (Assuming Infinity doesn't use 'scifi quantum hacking' or other such handwavium, in which case we just handwave the scuba gear too.)
The trick is that wifi is hydrophobic. The hacker just need to add detergent to the ocean to improve the wifi signal. In game terms, this would be considered a Deployable Repeater.
Lunah stole it, didn't you see? And it's not like people use the bow over the SMG anyway. True, it makes her look a bit more generic, but that's her actual main weapon.
I liked the GenCon one best. Ended up getting it with the double-pack of Coldfront expansion stuff since a friend wanted the Hacker and I wanted the Strelok+K9.
Crazy how different our views are on th Dart models are. Maybe If I saw the GenCon one in person it might change my mind, but the pics don't impress me. You end up getting Beyond Coldfront too? That new Dozer on the other hand is right up my alley. I'm hoping that Kazaj Doctor will get a once over again and given either WildCard or allowing it to join either a Line Kazak or Frontovik team. Or both.
A big part of it seems like the photos might have put the bow arm in the wrong spot. There's a bit of wiggle room there for her to get a much more sensible archer pose. Yep. I'm not hating the TAK stuff. The new Dozer is great but the list of things that are "needed" for a Support Pack? The Dozer with Traktor Mul Control Device was at the bottom I feel. The Kazak Doctor as well is such a vanilla/TAK specific thing that it should have been left out. It's like if you put a Kaplan Engineer in a Haqqislam Support Pack--sure, they can get some use out of it but really? That when it could have been somewhere else? Really would have rathered a non-fanwank sculpt of a female Dozer or a dismounted 112 that got updated to match the one on the bike.
