What it says on the tin. We're going to be seeing something new for CA pretty damn soon. Let's get going... What I think we'll see: Nexus based unit, Engineer. Plasma or Multi Rifle, Nanoscreen, maybe with a perimeter weapon. What I'd like to see: Nourkias, of Tagline fame and fluff. Umbra Samaritan with WIP15, PH14, CoC, Plasma Rifle. What I don't think we'll see, but would take gladly: LI/SK EI Aspect. Rocking a Sepsitor, WIP16 and Protheion.
Iro has a thread on the spanish side since a week ago or so. More or less, we think it will be something between 20 and 30 points, some of us thinking it will be a Nexus, others thinking that, since it was mentioned it will be a CA Specops, an Ur aspect or similar thingy. I doubt it will be a 40 odd points Umbra, Nourikas would become the New Macayana of the Legates (why field the cheap one, field the big one!). I'm betting on a nexus with a similar loadout the latest Specops had compared to their base units, so it's quite possibly it will be an "umbrified Nexus" with KHD and better CC options, maybe even able to Haris with an Umbra and another Nexus or Unidrone, but never replacing any Umbra as part of a link.
What I think we will see: Nexus engineer with Holo and SMG. Dogged. What I´d like to see: EI LI Aspect with NWI with WIP 16, Flash Pulse and Liutenat with Memonica. What I don´t think we´ll see but I actually take with love: Ulysses/Odisseus or another Sepsitorized one. Also keep in mind that the official communicate says that is a CA profile, non an Onyx one >.< Edit: Ninjed by our beloved @xagroth :D
IMHO it could also mean that new CA spec ops doesn't belong to only one sectorial army. I wouldn't be surprised if Nexus will be also available in EI/Ur sectorial in the future and if new spec ops is Nexus he can be also in EI/Ur sectorial.
A nexus spec op dire for could technically join rodoks in onyx, so superjump would be great. Mimetism, plasma weaponry, nanoscreen, holoprojector and KHD are all good abilities that it could have some of. I'd really like to see smoke grenades and/or perimeter weapons, but I wouldn't think that very likely.
I honestly think we would get some boring kind of buff nexus, it would be better than I expect if it would share some skills with rodoks though. The thing I would like to see the most is something based off a unidron, kind of an in between of a unidron and skiavoro, obviously without memonica, but with better stats and unique skills and/or weapons. something like this: MOV CC BS PH WIP ARM BTS STR S AVA 4-4 7 12 10 14 2 3 1 2 1 G:autotool V:NVI I'm not sure if NVI on a unidrone chassis would be too good, but if it is going to be closer to 30-ish points then maybe, or just give it 2STR without dogged or NVI, and plain old 2W might be an option too, but that all is too wish-listy I think and would fit more for a separate unit rather than dire foe linkable with unidrons. As for weapons I would like to see plasma rifle, or for the cool factor as well as limiting its strength as a solo piece double plsma carabines would be great. some skill that would be new for CA would be good, but I'm not sure what skill would be a good fit.
Engineer would be neat, but Chain of Command would be game-changing. Onyx could use the added security. A linkable plasma rifle would also be excellent.
I think that it will have 2 Plasma Carabine, Enginieer and Mimetism, and I´m also greatly sure that it wont be linkable or ava in Onyx. If it have an infiltrator profile, Memonica Liutenant or Chain of Command with Holo, it will be for sure in my lists.
Notice that there will be a Bostria seminar in Las Vegas this Saturday. It will be a high possibility that he´ll be revealing some new CA stuff, included the SpecOps. Anyone over there that can be our spy? :D

There are ways around this. Say, Al-Djabel seems like a better Fiday for just a few points more, but then he has neither mines nor anti-materiel weapon. I'm not sure if (non-)linkability is the answer though since it's only relevant for a sectorial.
pleasepleaseplease let it be a Nexus with Chain of Command! Onyx's current lieutenant choices are basically non-existent.
Well, about non-linkability, if the Specops is an "umbrified Nexus" (which I'm attracted to, as the meanest ever trained by the umbras!) he should link as a Nexus, not as an Umbra, to avoid some stuff with the Onyx Fireteams (cheapening, for example, the Xeodron Haris more than intended). My point is that an Umbra is already 40-46 points more or less, make it a Specops character and so, and we are running into a 50 points or more dude... I prefer a Nexus close to 25-30 points, frankly, since Onyx already has pricy stuff and not many cheap specialists. Make it a KHD, and instant popularity achieved! XD
