One year to Svalheima? God hear you! But I prefer not to be so optimistic :D I think, most players wait for Svalheima before Varuna, at least a couple years ago. Then suddendly Varuna come and Svalheirma were forgotted. We will see what happening with NCA, but who knows, most of his miniatures are relatively old and Aco has almost 100% of the miniatures resculpted... Still was Aco the sectorial put in the cooler. :)
I took a break from VIRD to make a couple of quick updates: I removed reference to the CSU: Duo (sad, but necessary) and also added a paragraph for the Deva Assault Hacker.
Now that's an eagerly awaited update! Yeah, this option is rock solid as a general purpose specialist. It really brings a lot which you simple can't get elsewhere, and with our ability to spread a wide repeater net with our remotes it can be a threat to any hacker or hackable unit on the table.
Why was it necessary to remove the CSU: Duo ... I have two of them (the Olsen twins) ... I don't like it Aleph sectorials still have the CSU: Duo
It's a bit of a complex answer. Even though CSUs have the Duo rule, they technically can't use it in NCA. The Infinity Wiki has an official list of legal fireteams, and sadly CSUs aren't on it. None of us are particularly happy about it, but that's where it is. Unless that fireteam list gets an update, I've removed the reference to CSU Duo to avoid confusing players..
Yu Jing gets screwed twice as hard by this idiocy in ISS. We get screwed with the bounty hunters as well as the CSUs
Technically NCA and ISS never had CSU Duos, it just wasn't made clear that when the profile was revamped with the release of StarCo that the Duo was exclusive to that Sectorial (and now OSSSSSS)
Well, double CSU in a list is still something I like, duo or not. So nothing change for me (didn't had the opportunity to play the CSU last season anyway).
There's no problem... It's just that CSU Duo in NCA isn't legal right now, so unless CB changes it, there's nothing we can do about it.
Steel Phallus doesn't get CSUs at all. Ian (the wiki-keeper) has checked with Gutier (the rules writer), CSUs can only form Duos in StarCo and OS, this is intentional and the wiki Fireteam list is up to date.
Well, while I prefer have them in the same group, I definitely prefer them at each side of the table.
Sorry, guys. I didn't get the point. The same unites can link in starco AND OS, but not in NCA?? Why not giving NCA a CSU: Duo option? Because of the balancing? Because of??
We don't make the rules I'd love to have them linkable in NCA, because they were originally an NCA-unique unit and they're very, very fitting for the lore and feel of the Sectorial.
Because that's what's in the rules, short of tracking down Gutier and asking him yourself there's not much more we can tell you.
