Would love to see 2-4 expansions... not sure what would be more healthy. Maybe just two, but therefore other releases: - Some cool terrain cooperation as well as - a new hexadome would be nice to see. - Maybe some collector's editions cards with alternative artworks. - Way more skins. :) I think this one of the best features. - New mechanics. - Sponsors revamped. - A token package.
Next year: - New HexaDome (Blocked Spaces rearranged). - 4 expansions (2 Char each). - 2 New General Tactics decks (to choose between one of them and Core). - More scenarios. For AGL·3 we'll review sponsors system.
All this ? I'm now super duper hyped. I'm going to jump all day long. Impatience got real. I can't wait to see all this coming.
Whooooot! Whoooot! I was so wanting to know what was coming down the road! So, four expansions means every three months we should be looking at two knew characters. I really like the release date scheme, because it keeps the game relevant and fresh. Plus, it helps the R&D team when it comes releasing new models in that they are not forced to create synergistic team designs. That can be a blessing and a curse. So, bravo for evolving to this next level! And, I'm guessing the new Tactics will be released with the new board. Man, this is freaken awesome! I've already ordered a custom wooden board, barricades, scoreboard, and a ton of colored hexagons. Plus, I'm 3D printing some barricades. Love this game!!!
@ijw I see a small tear dripping on your cheek. I know that feel. @sololobo I always thought about getting a 3d printer, or access to one. But since I started playing A!, I'm just obsessed. I so love this game too.
But I assume we will be able to play with both HexaDome right ? Choosing between A and B ? Or the new one will totally replace the first one ?
About the Hexadome... will it have the same amount of blocked spaces? and will it have the same number distribution? (1x4spaces; 1x3spaces; 5x2spaces; 9x1space) I´m thinking about the 3D scenery....
Not necessarily. We are rearranging them and we may add or we may remove. The best for the new design to work propperly.
Any change that can't be done with the existing set of blocked space sets is going to seriously piss off all the players who have made or bought sets. It may not be a high proportion of players, but it automatically includes the most fanatical ones!
I agree with you! Especially because most if the 3D scenery is expensive af! The Customeeple one (which is most beautiful in my opinion) costs as much as the whole base game... Having to buy this for every new dome which will be released is a curse! And without nice scenery a lot of players will just use the original dome because playing without scenery is a no go after you played with it... Gesendet von meinem ONEPLUS A3003 mit Tapatalk
P.S. I'm not saying that this should completely control what changes you make to the HexaDome, but it's going to need to be a BIG benefit to gameplay if it invalidates people's terrain sets. The 'least worst' would be if people need to buy/make a few additional items, but even that has issues - last year one of my players (Dom) bought an Aristeia! terrain set from Warsenal during their sale, as shipping from US to UK was free. An add-on terrain set would be a very hard sell because of shipping costs, and being a terrain completionist he'd probably shift from playing both Aristeia! and Judgement to just playing Judgement, rather than have a mis-matched set of terrain, or an incomplete set of terrain. Sorry for the ranty tone, but this is potentially an Uprising-level way to piss off players...
I like the idea of new 'domes and styles, but I do agree it also shows a potential nightmare if they aren't the same configuration or number of blocked spaces. As someone who bought the Warsenal ones and would want some consistency, it'd be an nightmare to have matching sets. I'd probably sell them and get Customeeple to stay consistent which would be a huge pain in the ass.
Do we have a firm statement from @-V- that the new Hexadome will make the old one obsolete? Would there be an option in AGL to choose the old layout? That might introduce a whole new set of variables. Image that in a tournament you know the scenario and maybe even draw teams but the Underdog could choose the Hexadome. The fans in the Human Sphere go wild and immediately the bookies adjust their odds kind of like when a racetrack experiences pouring rains, the mudders become instant favorites.
