So, Infinity players, it seemed appropriate to open this poll, CB gave us so much news this year, but what are your favorites?
I think Tunguska is awesome but I'm biased. Still, it's the coolest, and in Infinity where everyone can beat everyone, that's the only real arbiter.
same here. I would have also picked IA but they are missing the Tiger, and I was (and still am) waiting for a Tiger sectorial. I haven't played with or against or looked at the other new sectorial yet. I don't like that StartCo is bakunin + corregidor but missing out on tunguska troopers. I like the Druze.
IA, 14-16 regular orders with a Haris and Core, plus Lt2 camo & XplodeX AD Trooper makes it a little too powerful in Limited Insertion for my taste. I find strange how it seems like CB pulled all stops there, giving tibdits here and there (Tactical Sense on Morat, Lt L2 on OSS...) but only IA has so many together, plus the Wildcards. After that one, Military orders because of the amount of mix'n match you can do with the Fireteams they have.
I would've chose MO with no doubt. But seems like in the end they are somehow crippled on list building. I'm pretty sure they will be still good on the board... But the sectorial still feels limited when you're building the list. I chose IA because it looks like what they promised and more. Amazing.
Because I like HI, I will say IA. But honestly, new Morats are cool enough IMO and new MO also has lotsa HI ( And I did recently order the army box. ), so if I could vote multiples, I'd vote those. Otherwise... Well, O.S.S.S.S. is the only part of ALEPH I could ever see myself playing, so there is that, and Druze/Ikari seem really cool as well. Can't say I care all that much for the remainder. EDIT: I just noticed multiple votes are allowed and I can't change my vote aaaaaaaaaaaa-
IA's ability to take 12+ orders in a single combat group is going to be tough to beat, but I think the most inspiring new sectorial is Varuna. It's got me actually excited by the idea of playing PanO, and I hate PanO!
How many times have you typed that sentence in the past month? 'Cause I honestly lost track- P.S.: Varuna is cool indeed... but knighty bois tho-
Eh it's more points for the same BS bonus on the HMG but having more Hospitallers and Santiagos in the team rather than Magisters makes it a much tougher team overall. Like how you can link LI with HI in a few Sectorals and it's more efficient for points but it does make for weak links.
