So, I really do like that model of female Bountry Hunter on a bike. I'd love to buy it, paint it and use it... the problem is, she doesn't seem usable at this moment?

I mean, she only gets her bike through the Booty L2 skill. Which means, you have 5% chance of getting this bike when deploying her... So, in 95% of cases, you actually can't put this model on the table - you need a normal S2 Bounty Hunter (Boarding Shotgun) instead. And... there's no version of this character that fits this need. There is a non-biker Bounty Hunter with Boarding Shotgun (a limited edition mini), but he's a completely different model: a massive armoured guy in a coat...

Do you guys know any way of using the biker Bounty Hunter? Is there some female model that could be used to proxy her?

(and yes, I know that the same female character was used as a limited edition Bounty Hunter sniper - but this model seems impossible to get these days...)

I bought her because I loved the model too. What I did was to mount her in a regular base, with her foot over a Tactical Turned Over Jug of Ale (30mm scale).

I placed the bike in its base alone and I use it as one of the two Motorcycle Tokens I alwasy bring to a game (the other being a Yu Jing bike I had no use for)

I’ve been hoping for a long time that they release an ABH on bike profile, even with downgraded Booty L1 if necessary to accommodate it...

If you had a couple Crazy Koalas you could use her as Yojimbo in a pinch.

What ABH on bike? Do you mean my Desperado model of choice? :P

It would be nice to be able to use her as an ABH more than 5% of the time though.

Wait, so she's not attached to the bike? If so, your solution is brilliant. I could actually buy two of them and have one sit on a piece of scenery on a regular base. Problem solved!

    Wow!

Yep, she's not attached to the bike. Glad I could be of assistance.

One additional question, if I may: when going with this solution, I will end up with a spare bike. You did mention using your spare bike for a motorcycle biker... When exactly is such a marker useful?

When they dismount, or if you leave room to stand a 25mm base on, you can use it for anything else with booty L2. If you get two then you have the rider on the bike, the bike with no rider, and the rider off the bike and that covers all the bases.

    Wait, bikers can dismount? Hmmm...

*wonders what to do with the Nazarovas, who don't have dismounted models*

Nothing I doubt either one of them will live long enough to dismount. And if they do, just use a Ghulam model.

Yes, Bikers can dismount. They have been able to for at least the last 10 years (in 2nd ed, "Mount/Dismount" was a skill - the same one used by manned TAG pilots to get in/out of their TAGs. Now it's one of the things you can do with movement, like going prone). Why would they? You may need to if they are the closest unit able to grab an objective, and the 55mm base won't fit where they need to go (bikes can't go prone to get through a narrow gate, for example). Situational.

With TAG pilots (mostly) being specialists now, they have a reason to get out.

Can we lobby CB to make a Mercenary Biker profile that comes with the bike???? Cause I want to use it too!

Yeah, it's a shame that such a good model is so rarely useful...

BTW. A question I thought about: if a biker dismounts and leaves the bikes, does the bike count as a scenery piece and provide cover?

It's an S4 marker, not a scenery piece so it'll provide total cover (by blocking LoF) but not partial cover.

I see! May I ask where is the rule that says that? I'm not arguing with you, I just want to note it down for reference's sake?

The Biker ABH is the regular release of the ITS prize ABH sniper with new arms, slightly modified leg, and a bike.

Hmm, reading the wiki page it says to use either the motorcycle marker or a scenery piece of similar size so I guess it's not 100% definitive.

    Two things that are similar:

Objectives are either markers (no cover) or scenery (provides partial cover)

Dismounted TAGs retain their silhouette but don't provide partial cover.

My instinct would be to run it similar to TAGs and other markers (Deployable Repeaters, Crazykoalas, etc).

If you used a scenery piece to represent the dismounted bike you'd be able to argue it provides cover like an objective, I'd say you'd have to agree this with your opponent first though.

I know :) And I've been trying to hunt this mini down. But it's impossible, it seems - not at a reasonable price, at least.

Gah! I don't understand! :\ I'm new to this game...

Let me get this straight: do troopers provide partial cover? Let's say you want to shoot an enemy and their are half-blocked by another silhoutte - for example, S2 is just half-visible from behind S7. Is that partial cover or not?

Also, what are the markers, exactly, and how do they work? Do they have S values?

    Troopers never provide partial cover.

Markers can have a Silhouette value, it depends on the marker. Motorcycle markers have S4.
