So: 1) Do we know why the missle bot still costs ~4 pts too much ? (I thought it wil be fixed, clarified during 3rd Offsenisve Army update) 2) Do we know if OSS is inteded to receive "native" Spec-OP ? (in form of Dakini or Deva probably) Its a bit bummer that it cannot have linkable SpecOp (and Thorakitai MOV 4-2 sucks for linking with Dakini) 3) Well at least Shakti now have a theoretical reason to use Sucker Punch......
1. Well, I remember that the PDF showed the Samekh FTO having a Flash Pulse, but I haven't seen it in Army, even with the most recent update. Not that a Flash Pulse would account for 4 points anyway. 2. I would imagine we'd get a Deva profile, but I don't believe there's been any official word. I remember rumors of SpecOps that had their own profile (i.e. Chandra profile, not based off of another unit), but that was a while ago. 3. Yeah, there is a measurable improvement for Shakti. Not hugely significant, but it's there.
3. You mean Shakti. Shukra are the Adam Jensen looking guys. For all those that haven't noticed Sucker Punch went up from damage 16 to 17 according to 3rd Offensive.
This is driving me crazy The Druze clipper is 17 points, okay sure it doesn't have wildcard maybe thats it. The Son-Bae in IA DOES have wildcard and is also 17 points. The VIRD Clipper has wildcard as well, and is at 18 points, for aquatic terrain I guess. And of course OSS Samekh is 22 points, with Wildcard. There is no formula.
People, Samekh is paying for the privilege of playing Aleph. Stop complaining. As for Sucker Punch, definitively interesting change. :)
And while we are at it. How come the Asura LT lvl2 isnt allowed in vanilla? Its obviously not because its to OP to have it in vanilla since it is ok for YuJing, and they even have a better NCO to take advantage of it.
What do you mean, better NCO? Yadu NCO is obviously superior to anything Yu Jing can produce, or anybody else. Nomad players have been proxying their Intruders as Yadu NCO HMGs from sheer envy. And yeah, imagine if Asura Lt2 had access to Smoke, it would totally break the game.
Precisely what I was thinking. Yeah, some strange inconsistencies in some of these points and speciql rule distributions. I don't feel like OSS is hurting, but it does make me curious.
In the newest "New Rules" PDF (1.6 I believe), it is at the end of the document. It specifically states it overrides the previous version from the N3 Core book.
