HI guys. what you think about this List? Invincible Army ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. I would say there is a normal hacker missing in that list that can buff your remotes with Marksmanship L2.
OK so here are my 5 cents: Invincible Army ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 ZÚYǑNG Lieutenant (AutomediKit) HMG / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (1 | 39) ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Haris, Tactical Awareness) Combi Rifle + 1 TinBot B (Deflector L2) / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (1.5 | 37) PANGGULING FTO (Repeater) Light Shotgun / Electric Pulse. (0 | 13) SON-BAE Yaókòng Smart Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 18) WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16) ZHĒNCHÁ (Forward Observer) Submachine Gun, D.E.P., Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 34) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army NCO+2TacAw+Link+Haris+SML Daoying Hacker Lt. instead of the Zencha might be a good alternative. That way the Rems can be boosted and its another Order on top.
IA feels very monobuild to me, from a competitive standpoint. Having a Zuyong Core with 11 orders from TacSense and NCO seems too good, especially when you consider that's only half of a list.
I was literally trying to see how many orders I could into a Vanilla list. Anyone else having trouble not including 2+ Zuyong Tack-A HMGs in their lists. Also does having 14 to 16 orders in a LI seem to break the format?
I'd rather have a TinBot Zuyong instead of a second HMG one. Just feels like too heavy an SWC investment to me. Also... how on Emperors green ShenTang does Executive Prder interact with Lieutenant Level 2?!
They do get a SWC discount tho, so it all events out. And ExO works totally normal Lt.2 you simply loose the special Order. And the HacTao is a normal Lt. That's how I would play it, why make more complicated?
I actually have the opposite problem, there so many things i need (or at least think i need) that i run out of place/points before i can afford the second big gun. Though it could probably considered a 3rd big gun since Tai sheng and her MK12 are already there. Hard to say, 'cause LI is a weird format. If your opponent decides to hide all his army then yes those 4-6 orders will make a huge difference when they'll be spent rampaging in his DZ. However, if your opponent decide to oppose you some powerful aro (riot girls, any link missile launcher,etc...), then its entirely possible that those few additional order will only compensate the few times you need to shoot twice where another army would have shoot once since most IA's beatsticks (outside the hac tao) are usually a bit worse at winning face to face than the like of Achilles, a tikbalang, etc... It's strong, no doubt, but only time will tell if IA truly dominates the format.
Still, it is paying half your SWC budget on two identical units. Maybe it's just me having some weird aversion towards taking duplicates. Maybe it's just me preferring some more ''variety'' in a list. But I just can't see myself taking multiple Zuyong Tactical Awareness HMGs for some odd reason.
My frustration is not taking a Daoying LT2. It's SO worth it having the extra order; I can't see reasons to take the Daoying otherwise.
Honestly, likewise, and even in vanilla. And not even for Tai Sheng/Mowang NCo shenanigans. But simply because it can also be able to pop out of camo, toss down some supportware and recamo OR crawl onto a tall box somewhere, nudge a bit up the ledge and back again to take a single sniper pot shot at something and then recamo. And all that for nearly no extra cost. Daoyings are amazing TBH-
I think IA should definitely never, ever be taken in Limited Insertion. The format itself was already a bit of a kludge to go back to the "good old days" of 2nd Edition, before the ITS times when order spam was discovered to be hyper effective. So the ability to out-activate your opponent without them having recourse is a touch on the strong side for the mode. The mode already had issues with some armies at the 300 point range (which is why I preferred 200 points for it), but adding in a faction that thrives at the 10 model range as its shtick sort of throws the whole thing out of whack. In general, this is why I think we're going to see Tac Awareness and even NCO a lot more in other forces going forward. It offers a reasonable fix to the small-list problem and more than any other army to date, I feel encouraged to build 10-man lists with IA. Not much reason to aim for two combat groups when a can concentrate on fitting a ton of orders in a single group where they'll do the most good. Yeah, that hacker profile is gold for running supportware (so bloody glad they didn't give it an AHD or KHD or something instead). The Daoying is so hard to pass up, in a lot of ways it feels like a Nomad unit for the kind of utility and flexibility it brings to the field. It has quickly become my new "hey, why not just throw one of these in?" units. I've been going back through a bunch of my old pre-Uprising lists (still using Keisotsu as line troops in all of 'em *single tear*) and re-writing them with new units in mind and the Daoying keeps showing up as a replacement for various things in them.
Another pseudo silly one playing around with the Zhanshi+REM missile fireteam. Invincible Army ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 9 DĀOYĪNG Lieutenant L2 Hacker (Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 29) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) ZHANSHI Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) SON-BAE Yaókòng Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 17) HAC TAO HMG, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CCW. (2 | 68) ZHĒNCHÁ (Forward Observer) Submachine Gun, D.E.P., Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 34) MECH-ENGINEER Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) GROUP 2 4 ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Duo, Tactical Awareness) HMG / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (1.5 | 38) ZÚYŎNG (Fireteam: Haris, Tactical Awareness) Combi Rifle + 1 TinBot B (Deflector L2) / 2 Breaker Pistols, Knife. (0.5 | 34) PANGGULING FTO (Repeater) Light Shotgun / Electric Pulse. (0 | 13) CHAĪYÌ Yaókòng Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Mostly just a silly, non-ITS game sort of list to explore what kind of leeway the Son-Bae link gives. It lets you get a decent amount of heavy hitters in there, though with the LT being focused on providing support it won't be an ideal list for an NCO. I like the Zuyong Haris and Duo options here because Tactical Awareness means they're operating in the green for orders, which makes them ideal in small off-shoot groups where you may just be placing some ARO-focused remotes. If I were to rejigger this list for ITS I might turn the Hac Tao in to a killer hacker or try and fit a specialist in the Haris, or even downgrade the Hac Tao to a Hulang to open some space up a bit and maybe run a Zuyong duo with a Haidao in it. Overall, it is a building block I like. It gives the list a solid long-range firebase to smack things around, leaves points open for a lot of list compositions, and still manages to play well with a variety of Tactical Awareness Haris or Duo configurations. You could also find space for a normal hacker and just eat the order for Assisted Fire to allow the LT to support a Mowang or even a more robust, NCO-led Zuyong Haris. Or in the other direction, could make a good non-ITS themed kill'em'all list with a Haris'd Yan Huo ML and just have all the bloody dakka you can handle. Either way, supportware'd linked Son-Bae appear to be a pretty strong way to go if you don't want to run a Zuyong good-stuff link.
just a question. The Yan Huo FTO 2 ML will have B 3 in active and 2 in reactive right? edit: sorry just find the answer. sorry to bother!
