As an aside, the Oznat Stalker Unit costs a lot, because her G: Sync trooper isn't Hackable, Dodges on 14 instead of 7, is Dogged, is capable in CC and is fast with Climbing Plus. A relatively common use-case that leverages a lot of this is Camo/TO Camo hiding on a rooftop, which the Remotes can't do much about other than reveal (or maybe Sat-Lock on bad odds). The Dogged Climbing Plus Preta, on the other hand...
Honestly, if there were at least three things I'd do for MAF... Zerat Minelayers AVA 3 Raktoraks And a whole heaping load of Lieutenant Level 2 profiles
You should read your own post again after writing that. @topic The expensive Preta is actually pretty much why i don't like the profile so much. I'd prefer an option to have the sensor Oznat simply without the Preta but that is a matter of taste. I will extensively try out the Rodok Killer Hacker though. FDL1 in this season and a super jump impersonation token specialist could be pretty fun to use. Dunno if super effective but fun nonetheless.
The only similar one I can think of is Antipodes to Devil Dog K9 - which goes from a Synced unit with Imm clauses for proximity to a diff kind of sync unit that eliminates the tax for a control device - something the Oznat is still paying for in this case.
Yes, like I said, Antipodes go up in price as well, and by a lot more than 1pt. Control Devices is irrelevant, why would you not want to take other Hungries in the list?
Not joking here but does anyone actually take unlinked hungries? I have never seen them used outside of a link and would like to hear some experiences
I've only ever fielded unlinked Hungries. Gaki are amazing. 6-6 and explode means you want to run them around a corner at an enemy, let them ARO at you, and then just run into base. If they hit, wound, and you fail your save... They get to eat an explosion. I still don't understand why Vanilla CA get Total AVA and don't need a control device, where MAF do and only get a max of 8.
Yes, I see them frequently when facing Morats. Gakis get used for mine clearance, anti-Camo*, move-move-explode if someone AROs and (much more niche) Engage AROs against AD troopers etc. Pretas, thanks to Dogged, are one of the best Deployment Zone guards for their price in the game due to the chance that the attacker will have to tank two unopposed Chain Rifle hits. *Especially combined with move-move-explode, as an ARO against the first Move lets you go and stand next to an enemy Camo marker in the hope that you explode.
Yes, I think is time to leave. Awful behavior like this is unwelcoming. Not friendly community. Won't come back here.
I fail to see where is listed you are able to invite anyone to leave these forums. Neither can I find where is it written one has to own and play a certain army to give his opinion, whatever that one might be, in this game. It's not like the forums are paywalled so you can only see your faction's, or that this game improves when you have no idea of what are you going to find in front of you besides getting hammered game after game. If you don't like a certain forumite's posts, please be free to use the "ignore" option. Plenty of us do. As I said to the other guy, use the Ignore button, but don't punish yourself for the shortcomings of others. Most of the forum, when it's not about things unrelated or photos, is about doubts, tactics, strategies, and venting, and I agree that the protagonists in 3rd offensive are mainly Varuna and then Invincible Army and TAK (I was very very hyped for OSS... got hammered hard after the Yadus and Sophotects got their promised linkabilities nerfed, for example...).
Koni beat me to the punch. Guys, keep it civil, please. People have the right to disagree with your opinions no matter how well or bad worded they are. I'm very happy with the positive thinking that's been throwing around, and honestly at this point the only thing that's still irking me about this update is that the FA Sog and TS Suryat don't have a lieutenant option. Overall I can see the uses of the profiles (NCO Raktorak might not see the table, ever, though) and so the update seems okay. Still underwhelming, but at least there's uses for the stuff.
In MAF I will start them linked to move up then break it to form my other core in the list. In vanilla I have run 15 Gakis just for fun.
I think the NCO Ratorak would be good in fireteams, use his NCO order for moving the team up to save regular orders.
