    1. Does an NCO using a Special Lt Orderreveal your Lt?

    I think yes, because:

"The Special Lieutenant Order has special applications that can be very helpful, but using it broadcasts who the Lieutenant is in your Army List, giving your opponent a clear potential target. Use it judiciously."

    2. If your Lt is in the Isolated state can your NCO use the Special Lieutenant Order?

I think not, but I honestly have no real idea.

When you stop in the middle of the game to record a podcast so you can mechanically broadcast who your lieutenant is. :-)
I'm pretty sure the word "reveal" (as associated with the Private vs. Public Information definitions) isn't being used.

    1. I think the way NCO works, you don't have to reveal your Lt, just that you are using the Lt Order. It changes the dynamic a bit, but that's what introducing new rules is all about. Being NCO is public info, I think, so you just announce: I activate my NCO using the Lt Order; which, in my opinion, is a welcome addition to the game (even though I have no NCOs in Qapu Khalqi).

    2. I don't think the Lt Order should be transferrable when the Lt is isolated, but I don't have any Rules backing to asert that.

I've always read that bit as a warning, that by using the LT order you are showing who is your LT. Since NCO turns it into a Regular Order when used by the NCO unit you are pulling from the pool and shouldn't be revealed.

"NCO and Combat Groups To be able to use this Special Skill it is not compulsory that the owner and the Lieutenant belong to the same Combat Group."
Would seem it indicates that it could still be used while the LT is Isolated, as all that does is move them into a unique CG. Don't mind me, I'm crazy

Yeah, that's how I'm leaning on the RAW interpretation as well. But it feels wrong, so should probably be asked.

@solkan. Broadcast can is often understood as "announce" and while I agree that "reveal" is clearer, I honestly can't work out what is intended.

I want to add two more questions to this thread - can NCO in a fireteam use that order on his fireteam? And if yes - does he need to be a fireteam leader for that? IMO, the answers to both is "yes", but I'm really not sure.

RAW it’s yes and no. The example makes it explicit that a Fireteam can be activated by the Special Lt Order when the NCO is a Team Leader but, equally, nothing restricts it from working when they’re merely a ‘member’.

The Order Activation sequence means that:
    1. You activate the entire Fireteam
    2. You spend the Special Lt Order. NCO is an Automatic, Optional skill and there is no requirement to be the Team Leader to benefit from Automatic, Optional skills (see Stealth). “Using” an Order is being “activated” by an order* (unless CB meant something else and didn’t tell us): so the NCO is using the order.
    3. You declare the first short skill and only then allocate a Team Leader.

    * Cancelling Extremely Impetuous orders being the only other ‘use’, but are Irrelevant to this interaction.

Also note that Tactical Awareness specifically says that the Trooper must be the Fireteam Leader to use the Order whereas NCO does not.

Edit: see the Tactical Awareness thread for this discussion, it’s why I didn’t repeat the question here.

I politely request that you re-read Isolated state. :-(

I have, and while Duke is mistaken, I don’t see why Isolated would prevent an NCO spending the Special Lt Order.

    Would you mind elaborating?

Isolated does not put the trooper in a separate Combat Group. That's all I meant. And no, I don't see anything that would prevent the LT Order being spent if the LT had been Isolated that turn.

Can I trade in these eyes for ones that work better? Do I need to go visit Bakunin for that?

Bakunin will be very happy to do it, but the side-effects can be somewhat... unpredictable.

Not sure, if viral applied to virus's and other forms of illness, that would be legit. If not, not sure how immunity to dirty bullets would prove helpful.

I'm sure at the least there would be some overlap. Maybe not full immunity, but better than nothing
