It's from the Requirements for those kinds of Fireteam. http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Fireteam:_Haris Requirements In addition to the Fireteam Common Requirements, a Fireteam: Haris has to fulfill the following specific Requirements: Only those units specified on their Sectorial Army List can compose a Fireteam: Haris. At least one of the members of this Type of Fireteam must have the Fireteam: Haris Special Skill. A Fireteam: Haris is composed of two or three members. A player can only have a single Fireteam: Haris on the table, unless a Scenario Special Rule or some other Special Skill state otherwise. She's fulfilling bullet two, and the equivalent bullet in a Duo. Yes, just like all the existing Fireteams where you can swap everyone out.
Free Harris. plain and simple If you're going to take a Harris of any kind in the army, she is your go-to. Cheaper than the BSG ORC (seriously this guy is kind of useless because he's bundled with the Tinbot.) and far more useful than the vanilla Kamau combi.
Having your NCO in a Fireteam with a solid weapon is really good. The fireteam options she opens up is why you want her. Since she is a Wildcard you can form a Kamau Haris without paying for the SWC, you can duo with a cheaper Squalo and have a stealth HI specialist escorting your TAG. It also frees you up to not have the Squalo as LT without missing out on using that order. And of course sticking her in a Core and giving them 11 Orders is still very good. She is amazing and that's not even mentioning the best part about her, Nimbus+.
Nimbus Plus is a big deal. Making your templates -6 to be Dodged (yes that's right, -6 to Dodge and Shoot attacks coming through Nimbus) means that Parrots, Peacemaker, mines, etc. are all pretty dominant. For setpiece midfield combat, like storming an objective room, it's amazing. It really levels the field for a Sectorial with no CC ability and few direct templates.
So Patsy can be used as the haris model in a link. Does this mean that she can create a kamau haris and the machinist can join it? For example hmg kamau, Patsy and machinist?
@ijw kudos on getting the wiki updated so fast, your work is always appreciated. The Machinist doesn't match Army though, in Army it's noted as being able to join a Kamau team, whilst the wiki says Wildcard.
Patsy will duo great with Squalo with Zapper. Close protection, specialist and Nimbus Plus so you're - 6 to dodge that Zapper template. Bzzzt.
So, is anyone else excited about the Helot Militia? 9pts for camo, SMG, light Rocket Launcher and Neurocinetics seems crazy good against infiltrators and especially drop troopers. Worth the 0.5 swc premium.
This has me really tempted to try a croc boarding shotgun with nimbus plus, though its not as much damage capability as a peacemaker in this case. However the croc man would be relatively safe. Varuna is going to be fun. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Decoy, for me, over Limited Camo. I'm doubtful I'll want the Surprise Shot with the Neurocinetics, but keeping the opponent guessing as to which one is the real one sounds fun.
I'm also inclined towards Decoy. Having 6 possible ARO points for 18 points is really valuable, especially in this season where folks will try to drop an AD trooper on you. Decoy can at least give the illusion of covering tons of areas throughout your Deployment Zone, and really helps shore up weak points or blindspots that your Core link or Flash Pulse bots aren't covering.
Decoy is amazing. Played my first VIRD game last night Vs OSS. Had so many reactive options I killed most of my opponents stuff in his turn. the Kamau makes a real primary defensive brick shithouse that gets even nastier when you drop a cutter out of ARO against the piece the opponent tries to remove the cutter with. And the Helots being able to spread 3 potential AROs across the table really really makes the opponent have to think about every movement and order. A lot of the time my mate didnt move at all for fear of picking the wrong decoy and generating multiple AROs. Additionally I took a note out of Barakiels book and was running the Zulu Mkmn and that was a lot of fun which got a lot of good work done in active.
That's fantastic stuff, @daboarder . The point you make about Helots too is dead-on. It's really easy to overwhelm an opponent with LoF and ARO options. Even with clear communication and transparency about LoF, Decoy Helots can make an opponent panic. When they move to any number of corners and worry that a Neurocinetic ARO is waiting to challenge them, it generates a lot of stress.

(0 | 3) 5.5 SWC | 295 Points Open in Infinity Army Here's what I got so far. It's not really adding up the way I want it to unfortunately. the first 6 things can all link with one another. The plan is to start the game and link with the Kamau sniper and once he goes down reform at 5 with the ORC HMG. I feel as though the Echo Bravo is a good piece for walking on, touching a button and either defending himself with the Parrot or setting up a link team punishment with it. Keep in mind Zulus get ADHLs as well as ORCs and characters. For once I feel as though It's tough trying to spend this SWC. I feel bad if I miss out on those 5 its .5 SWC. any suggestions? how would you guys do Varuna in hunting party? this is limited insertion btw.

(0 | 3) 6 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army I think that Helots and that MSV2 Sniper in the link are the best things about this sectorial. This sectorial might have the best ARO in the game. Sniper takes care of warbands with smoke, while Helots using Decoy, placed in a smart way can basically both secure completely your deployment zone and create some cunning traps with midrange light rockets shoots. I had good success attacking with Echo Bravo, having both Combi and LSG is really useful, Wild Parrot is amazing! Zulus for me are meh at best - I came originally from Acon and I am used to much better skirmishers. KHD profile is ok, the jammer can be useful in some scenarios but overall as a dedicated objective grabbing unit, it has not impressed me. One thing that worries me is lack of a dedicated strong attacker unit apart from a Bulleter. Overall I think it is a very solid sectorial, I think it is on the same level as Acon - both Varuna and Acon has better and worse pairings but both are PanOs best sectorials atm.
yup, throw in a midfiled camo marker or two and the potential of TO AROs, and theres a lot of "do I really, REALLY want to do that?"
Unfortunately not. Patsy has Haris (and Duo), and is able to be filling out that rule for units that have access to Haris. Squalos are only able to join in Duo Links. Patsy can be the Goose to the Squalos Maverick, but not create a third wheel.
