I suspect, now I know how Ocularis Terribus appeared – it was not Slaanesh born, it was just one more CB fluff-book release discussion!
SUBJECT CITIZENS, SUBJECT CITIZENS, WE REACHED 73 PAGES! TWO MORE TO GO! I think Mobile Brigada and Orc Troops are perfectly valid and useful Heavy Infantry units that I would gladly run in many a Nomad/PanO list.
If I could run Mobile Brigada in PanO, now things would be different. Im still waiting to see some of these guys painted. I can paint the orange and black parts for now, but I have no idea what those hexxed green and camo colors will look like.
Look. Take some colours. And paint them whatever colour ya want. Because. They are. Your tiny metal soldiers. And you can give them names. And you should. I'm still trying to think of a name for my Guilang Sniper since she's just that goddamn reliable. :<
Do you wish to say, any PanO HI you can use in many PanO lists as half of them are indistinguishable by anybody but PanO players? (Just joking, PanO Heavies have nicely design. Very streamlined )
Also, seems a damn shame about IA. Did you hear? They died. Now, a thousand years later, attention turns to the prophecied White Banner Army, the last remaining hope of Yu Jing now that ISS has defected to be a module of Tunguska and Ariadna has become the greatest hyperpower. At night, street urchins whisper in hushed tones of the legendary Guilang, the only unit ever played in YJ once CB released the newest Chapter Unapproved (removing such trivial things like AVA).
They might get better though. Considering both the suryats and shang-jì got tactical sense, i wouldn't be surprised if most "vanilla HI" gained at least one tactical sense profile, most probably on their heavy weapons guys. IIRC it was said that both tactical sense and NCO were going to spread amongst all sectorials, and not only the main ones updated with 3rd offensive?
Trying to remember who it was in Black Hawk Down that got told to sit here and watch the street because he's dependable... "Man I hate being dependable!" was his response, or something to that effect.
And speak with them, minies are human too (I know a forum user who surely approves it)! If you choose a color solvent wisely, they will even start talking TO you...
You fools. You merely think IA to be dead. But know this... Once the meta abandons hacking. Once everyone starts maining TAK. You shall tremble at the march of the Invincible Army. Having forsaken the means of attacking basically every single unit available to them, you shall be felled upon by Zhencha and Hulong, assailed by Mowang and Liu Xing, and beaten by Guijia and Yan Huo. And to make matters worse... some random ass Zhanshi will also secure your HVT. YOU SHALL ALL TREMBLE WHEN THE DAY COMES!
So if IA was still alive and not already dead, in theory, who would people prefer to use for their Lt?
Actually, from the profiles currently known to us... Believe it or not, I actually like Zuyong Lieutenants. And not even nesscesarily of the HMG variety!
From a theme based if not rules-based perspective, I actually like the idea of a Zuyong LT without the HMG. Command elements should focus on command, not personally utilizing an important weapon.
Im trying to decide what to do with the automedkit Zuyong, but yeah Im leaning towards a core 3 man defense link and an aggressive Harris: offensive Zuyong lt (probably character), Haidao, and Zhanshi FO, then a defensive link of Yan Huo, Zuyong HMG, and Haidao. Then one of the CoC guys (unless he can link with the defensive link)
