Yes you can, check Speculetive Fire from marker state. Also Triangulated Fire tells you to use short skill BS attack, according to you that won't be possible due to TF being long skill and BS attack is short skill :)
Checked and double checked... Triag. Fire specifically says you do bs attack and it is entire order. If you want to use surprise - you're using short skill attack. Same goes to speculative fire + surprise shot. Otherwise - why then triangulated fire do not become short skill if you're combining it with surprise shot? Huh?
Triangulated fire says to perform a BS Attack, that literally means any skill with the BS Attack label. We know this because the FAQ says so, skills with the BS Attack label are BS Attacks. So, you declare "Triangulated Fire" and do exactly what it says under effects: Allows the user to declare a BS Attack... For the BS Attack you choose Surprise Shot as it has the BS Attack label, the only requirement for that is you start in marker state.
