Sorry bro, but that's a real dumb statement given we have an AVA chart confirming all MAF profiles still exist. Bit & Kiss was even previously shown as gone - you just chose to believe the chart was mistaken, rather than accept it.
Bit was never in the official force org chart to begin with. And CB's so prone to typos that it's not hard to believe an error like that would persist @HellLois has been propagating the same copy/paste errors in the ITS documents for years. Hell, I'd believe that there was never actually a decision to remove Bit from MAF, she was just never added to the force org chart and nobody bothered to out her in the updated version. Oh well. I guess it's also just awkward to be proved a sucker for buying CB's products again - players get their models banned from their army while Bostria taunts them, and I guess we're supposed to like it?
Please do then... I never post but read a lot and this is really painful to see your complaining no matter what.
I personally don't care that much about loosing Bit and Kiss. I am not a very competetive player and our environment is pretty causal. And, to be honest, I did not own the miniature yet. But I am kind of sad we lost the iconical (at least in my view) Sogarat Haris, especiallywithi the new wild card options. However, if we can Duo Sogarat and replace one of them with a Raktorak, this is not that bad, is it? Moving a stronghold into a good suppression position along with a specialist that can provide a very potent direct tamplate weapon. Would be even better in a Haris, but I tlike that! And you can add anoter Haris and Core to your list. Is still hope badly for a nice Sogarat upgrate. I want to field it, but it needs some more edge to make it really shine.
First of all, let's please not turn this into a shouting match that will get the thread locked. Someone disagreeing with your opinion on the game doesn't mean that person should leave the community. And while I agree with @Shouganai up there, I don't like losing Bit&KISS. I do play competitive and I play often, so I've used Bit in about a third of my lists so far, and she's been very useful. I think CB removed her because we're supposed to have less hacking presence than other armies and she was giving us a lot of repeater coverage for very little cost. The problem here is that in this case we get nothing to compensate the loss, so it feels very bitter to swallow. "But Red, you said the Rodok KHD was really good!" And it is. But it's a hunter. You put a Rodok KHD on your list, you're gonna go out in the mid field and punk some shit. With Bit, I think I used her for the repeater more than I used her for the hacking. That, and the roadbump that KISS was. And this us what annoys me about this loss: Bit gave us map control, which is something we don't have unless we spend orders on laying mines, which means we need to go first just to make sure we'll be able to react properly! Really, CB, please bring Bit back.
I hate this fluff/lore nonsense. "Morats suppose to have less hacking presence/coverage"; "Morats don't use camo". Everything would be ok if their firepower were around PanO's level, right now they do not shine at any aspect of the game - they are just subpar at everything + cost more on average as they should, thanks to their racial rule.
Sogarat Full Auto N2 has been mentioned in a podcast (OraCritika), which would explain the Haris removal. And there will be NCO, Tactical Sense Suryat HMG profile, etc... (12-14 orders in a Limited Insertion list is the objective for IA, and it seems Morat will have an option). They ignore LoL and retreat totally, aside from the Gakis/Pretas. That has a price (but I agree it's better for variety to have some units in that box, instead of all).
THIS! been thinking a lot lately why I should field Morats. Yes, I like the models and fluff but I can't quite get the unique selling point regarding playstyle. What do I get with Morats that I can't have in a better way with other factions?
They pay a way too high price for this. Other armies are dealing with this by taking cheap Lt + some decoys. Morats sacrifice gameplay variety on top on big tax on every unit for something that is rarely useful and can be easily avoided. If Sogorat HMG will get FA2 then we will have finally good attacker.
I don't agree with that, playing pure Morat you can take extremely aggressive Lts (like Kornak, a suryat or a soggy) and throw them in without fear of repercussion, a style I'm expecting to see reinforced by NCO, Tactical awareness, Lt2 etc. I'm a strong and vocal critic of the cost of the morat rule but it's pretty flavourful.
Biggest Variety of fireteams in the game. Ability to keep going at full power no matter how bad the situation is. High average PH means you're quite good at just dodging if things don't look so good for shooting. We already have: - Rodok HMG in a full link; - The Raicho; - Q-Drone+Assisted Fire; - Linked Yaogat Spitfire with Smoke; All of these are great attacking pieces. The Sogarat having Full Auto will give us one that's probably going to eclipse most of these in a generalist "hammer to the face" style. It is not unwelcome, but doesn't really add much to the faction other than a certain whoop factor. What is starting to nag me about this update is I feel Vanilla Combined will benefit more from it than MAF itself. They get another killer hacker and one than can start further up the table, they get another solid attack piece and another okay attack piece that has an order for itself. Not to mention the backup bodies for that Wip 16 of the aspect when it bites the dust. Really, CB, just put the damn character back in the army, please.
