Okay, I do suppose you can look at it that way as well. I just look at it as ''You activate four units with one order'' and not ''You get to activate three additional units with a single 1 order.'' Both lead to the same result though, so it matters little I suppose. That's more or less the best guess anyone has anyways.
One Coordinated Suppressive Fire. Three Coordinated Orders , each moving three troopers in addition to the one you could have activated with the Order anyway.
I am really looking forward to this, though I admit I was already looking forward to more Zuyongs (WEN BOX) and the Haidao, Hulong, Mowang and even Zhencha look like fun to paint as well as play.
No, it's a rebuilding of a defensive fireteam into an attacking one or vice versa. Or a re-roll of a hack console or a hacking Classified Objective :)
Even converting the order of a Warcor or warband killed during the Impetuous phase can be enough to put in the killing blow or grab that last objective. Lots of uses for CTs.
CTs are baller. There are certain lists where they are less useful, but they can be a force multiplier and should be used where possible.
Lots of stuff to catch up on, this thread exploded overnight! Point of order! That Shas genetic repository was so heavily defended all the humans (and Aleph) thought it was a command center. I'm not willing to claim that event as deliberate targeting of civilians, it's an oh, shit, accidents happen. I am reasonably confident that had we known it was not a command center it would not have been targeted. Thank you! Yeah, I learned some new words, too. more profanity. Dammit, stop giving CB stupid ideas! In the US, there are also hawks bigger than the falcons. Best differentiation is wings, though. Eagles and hawks have big, rounded wings for soaring, falcon wings come to a point. My home state is host to one of the major bird-of-prey reproduction and species rescue centers. Oooh, nice! But seriously, you should have led with the Mowang and Hulang in your announcement, not with troops that aren't 2W. Careful, son, them's fighting words. A bit of a shame that it's not on all profiles, but OK. Also means that we can't do 16-order Combat Groups. Just 14-order. Somewhat. The Tinbot B profile is just about guaranteed to show up in lists anyway, and I don't mind Spitfires in a link team in place of HMGs. The battle. They're the LTs of your force.
Nice to see peoples hope for the IA is up and opinions are more positive. Haidaos being better KHD then Santiago is cool. But to answer "who needs Sants?". The military orders desperately needs the new KHD Staniago because before we had zero KHD AND zero tinbots in an HI based force. Having this one new profile makes a huge difference. It sounds like the Haidaos will not have tinbot B on its KHD profile which means you will have to spend .5 swc for that tinbot B. Thats a nice little advantage for the staniago KHD, since it gets its tinbot for free. Tinbot B is cool and all but with a KHD in a 5 man link + tinbot, its already overkill for most hackers in the game. I'll take the SWC savings. But its good to see IA not get over shadowed by MO. Couldn't resit that jab, eh? Hahahahahhaha. :P
ATM the Shang-ji tinbot-B doesn't cost SWC. Shang-jì are wildcard, and it's one of the profile with tactical sense, sooooo...
OMG. o.O Well, that makes a big difference. I'd still say the Santiago KHD is a bigger deal for generic Pano because before we had only one ava 1 KHD in the Hexa and more KHD options allow generic Pano to use the wonderful Hexa Sniper. But for the Invincible Army this is GREAT NEWS. HI links that are practically immune to hackers is pretty awesome. The question now is what the cost of such an HI link will be.
Nope, but it was a friendly one. I have nothing but hopes for good changes for YJ ;) That Shang Ji info sounds simply awesome. Most HI links will probably cost arm and leg, but there is some filler available, right? This would make them very cost- and order-efficient.
I think it's a design decision to try and help the abundant HI in faction stand apart from each other. Yu Jing's units seem to sneak in some SWC discounts here and there for various things.
Looking to be close to 200pts, for the beefy version of that link with TacSense and NCO, in addition to Haidao KHD. I'd be really surprised if it's less than 180pts.
As a Yu Jing player we would kill for Szalamandra, Puppetactics, moran, sin eater, jammer... and so many other ways to force the enemy to waste its orders
@Solar There seems to be some debate on whether it’s true or not, but Bostria seemed to indicate at Gencon that with the coming army update, NCO and TacSense may be getting added to all armies. I guess we’ll know in a few days.
I'm still curious to find out what FTO profile(s) the Yan huo will have. Obviously not the HRMC, and likely the MHMG, but I want some sweet sweet missiles in that fireteam...
Just a shot in the dark, but as much as I want Combi Panggo to have FTO, I don't think Total Reaction, EVO, nor Neurocinetics profiles are going to make it. We might see a non-TR Combi Panggo FTO, but who knows.
