@Triumph , I got your points. I got emotional when you mentioned the post, because yeah, I wanted a pat on the back. As you mentioned before, It took me some efforts to write - the crappy - an experience about our new unit. To shovel up some salt. That all I wanted. True, posting into hot thread it has to be scrutinized and examined. My examples were imperfect, my enemy was not heavily guarded, and I performed one heck gotcha. That made the results. Franky, yes, Liu Xing was just easy piece for such circumstances. Your gaming experiences and insights make me think you are a good player, TBH, I remember you playing Backdoor Crisis, gaining quite a score. Cause man, you are the most stinging person in this forum. I don't know your real manners, but the tone, the aggressive words you pick undervalue your good opinions. It makes people annoyed - If I am the only one who felt it, then I'm the one with marshmellow skin, which seems so. I am not intending to offend you, that is for sure, but seeing a person with good insight in a constant rage status is hard to look at. Please be yourself.
They absolutely do pay extra, see Morlock. It is nice to have the Breaker Pistols on the HMG, as it gives an option worth a damn inside 8 where the HMG is weak, but I'll agree that they just aren't useful on most other profiles. I've never really considered the Zuyong great (excepting HMG) unless I can ensure they'll be fighting in close quarters, as the second wound becomes substantially more important inside DTW range then Mimetism or other, even more expensive BS garbage, especially when you play against ALEPH as often as me and things both carry Nanopulsers, and don't die when they are shot unless you can bring the Shock Ammo conveniently attached to the Zuyong, cheapest carrier of the MULTI Rifle. Due to the higher speed, specialist MULTI with extended Classified options, ability to game mines by dropping behind or between a mine and an enemy troop, and tolerable increase to price, the Liu Xing will probably inherit that job in my lists in future. Unless the Mowang turns out to be awesome, or the Hulang is more appropriate.
I wouldn't even say the dual Breaker Pistols are that bad on the non-HMG profiles, mostly since Breaker Ammo is pretty neat, as most units tend to have a BTS worse or equal to their ARM. So when playing against Ariadna ( And I mention this for the several dozenth time now, my local meta is TEEMING with Ariadna. ) or against units with BTS low enough to make the DAM12 Breaker Ammo break even with DAM13 Normal ammo... it's nice. Not a terribly amazing thing, no, but it's at least one of those things that actually have realistically possible situations to be applied in, unlike very basic CC and a CCW.
On the garuda being hackable and it not being an issue, the difference here is that your garuda doesn't have a rule that makes you want to jump right on top of units. The Liu Xing can totally be played like any boring AD jump, walking in from the side and going to work with his spitfire or multi-rifle, but being hackable makes it borderline suicidal to try and use his explode rule which is a shame because even at only 20% odds to actually kill something it's still 20% better than using your order solely to enter the battlefield.
@Triumph it makes sense that the dual breaker pistols costs points, but I don't think it's possible to reverse engineer exactly how many. I would be very surprised if they match or cost more than a Panzerfaust, however. @Sedral Garuda are also very cheap and fast. One of the cheapest AD4 profiles, on par with Akali.
That's fair, they do pair for the HMGs in a useful fashion at least. If you want some cheap shock ammo that really upsets Aleph, Rui Shi is the way to go. Or monks if they try to hide in tight quarters, monks are pretty good at kicking aleph units in the head. TBH though when Aleph's annoying crap like the Posthuman AHD tries to hide in spots my usual go to if it isn't a warband to flush them out is the Guilang. Chuck a mine around the corner they're hiding behind, then pop out. If they try to DTW you back, dodge, you'll probably live and they eat a mine hit. If they dodge, shoot 'em. I'm also really interested in Lunah's potential as a new active turn piece. Trust me, this is a pretty normal level. If I was angry this account would be banned by now. In your particular instance with the over saturation of Ariadna, where they have a habit of higher ARM and no BTS, the breaker pistols are actually helpful, yes. Outside of Ariadna though most units don't pack the right numbers to make the pistols function. You need to be shooting at something with at least 3 armour and 0 BTS to make the pistols better, otherwise they're just the same as shooting the multirifle. 2 Armour and 0 BTS if it's a combirifle. That basically blanket rules out HI, REMs, basic LI, and even alot of elite LI and MI who have actual BTS stats.
Sorry but I don't agree with you. First, you don't comprehend how the ELO wining rate works. The more ELO your rival has the more ELO you win. The Less ELO It has The less ELO you win. Of course the more you play the more ELO you can potentially win (if your winning rate is above the average and you have luck with pairings or you get to finals) The first round of a tournament it's not completely aleatory, It has two corrective factors: one in order to pair you with new opponents, and another to pair by ELO. So, the more you play home, the less chance of playing a friend when you travel to play. The following pairing is by tournament points. The first game seems to give you a lot of points because the ELO of both players is similar The payment of the tournament packs and the ITS codes is destined to finance the cost of the infrastructure you're using. Army updates, Army mobile, OTM, List Cloud... And with a virtual code once you reach a 10 players it costs less than fucking coffee. It's not so expensive although it may not be extremely accurate in terms of what player is better, it's cool to have some sort of system to measure it and compare. I don't know were do you have taken the idea that every community take ITS as a Joke. Here in Spain are a lot of hardcore ITS communities that play several ITS tournaments a month. Specially on big cities like Madrid or Barcelona And lastly, I've enjoyed a lot the couple of chances I had to go play against other communities, to big tournaments like interplanetario or freakwars, It's a warm experience to know other players, other metas, other playstyles, learn new things and spend some time together. ITS encourages this trips a little, enough to make it appealing The only reason to not play ITS tournaments it's because you can't get enough players together to make it interesting (less than 8?). And you can cancel the tournament or postpone it if that sort of thing happens
1. I understand how ELO works;) But do You know that there was whole season when ELO was conuted wrong? Slight error, but Yo got more points for killing newb than veteran. What CB did? They noticed at the end of seson, no changes were done. Competetive value of this season is... well, worthless. We also had this guy in our country. He organised lots of closed events for newbs. There he was basicaly cheating them farming ELO. Slow but he was in the top of ranking inn country;) So... yeah? Rly? 2. 'Sir, how many do You spend on cigarettes? EXACTLY! DO you know how many ITS codes could You buy for those money?!' - You sound like a salesman with this cofffee argument. No offence, but You made me laugh. Army and rules pdf are part of general product. As for OTM, THIS is real part of value of ITS code. This and ranking. OTM has bad UI and is buggy as hell. Loves to crash. Paying for it alone would be bad joke. As for ranking - look point one. There is (should be) more value in ITS Pack. We dropped those last season, beauase medium model and stoickers wasnt worh it;) So... if community isnt interested in ranking/pack should I shove it to their throats? Yes? No? I knew other community, where paying for ITS code on event was optional - if You did You got chance for price. They dropped it. Do You know why?;) Again, because nobody cared about stickers. 3. Another thing for competetivness is ITS alone. You can play tournaments and dont register it. You can play tournaments without ITS and... still be competetive. Especially ITS isnt really well written as competetive system. Also, I know players that simply rreact 'omfg not ITS missions again'. Especially in great Xenotech season with errors threat, xenotech and noo erraata since over 2 months xD 4. And finaly. You also dont need ITS to want to travel to other communities. All You need to do is want to... compete. It works, really. Often, behind high ITS numbers is just a guy who stallls game and doesnt finish 1st turn in 3h;P Anyway, clue is - I know commuities that have theier ongoing leagues, organise tournaments but dont really pay for being in ITS ranking;)
