Haha yeah I wasn't particularly interested in CCG's or similiar games after leaving MTG. But all that algorithm stuff has me itnerested. My assumption is there is some semblance of balance between the decks so hypothetically, what you get out of a blind box shoudl have you as competitive as someone else with a blind box given the same skill and xp level. So following this, it shouldn't matter what individual cards you get because your just as effective. So I'm watching out of curiosity while knowing that while the game has officially been released for less than a week, it seems a deck sold for like CAD2k over the weekend XD Knee-jerk purchase by cashed up/drunk nerd or a strong sign the code failed?
Oh dear... https://kotaku.com/new-card-game-keyforges-decks-contain-unfortunate-wor-1830573479 I wonder if that $2k deck is "The Emperor That Pays for Boys"
Haha I was tempted to go looking for the pre-order decks to buy and ebay incase the potentially dirty names became collectors items. Sadly the names aren't TOO dirty (pedo references aside) and people only want to buy tournament legit decks. "The Absent King" while a coolish name, is not as funny as an accidental Paedophilia reference XD https://www.reddit.com/r/KeyforgeGa...ge_doublehorseman_just_sold_for_over_2000cdn/
For an actual big-group-of-friends game, Captain Sonar is pretty good. Close to the actual tension of hunting another submarine! You do need 6+ people to play it, though.
Captain Sonar is a lot about the mood - We usually play it with closed shutters, red light and different sound effects. Wonderful game!
I keep stress buying nerd shit super late at night and having regrets when I see invoices in the morning. Apparently I late backed Vast: Mysterious Manor last night. Need to see a shrink about this. It'll probably work out cheaper...
Well, it's your own damn fault for liking this kind of stuff but no problem, i can give it up anytime i want *Softly cradles his minis and starts softly saying "my precious"*
Last week I received the RWBY board game from the Kicsktarter campaign. I don't know if there are here fans of the series, but the game is fun, simple and fast, great job from Arcane Wonders.
There is a RWBY boardgame now? That's unexpected but not quite surprising, they're making boardgames of everything these days. That is a good thing.
Yes, they launched the Kickstarter campaign last year. The good thing is that the game was made by professionals with experience (Arcane Wonders), not by Rooster Teeth itself, so it is a good game.
Just got my Scythe and My Little Scythe (for the little one). Won't be opening them until X-mas, but I'm certainly looking forward to it. I've enjoyed pretty much all Stonemaier games I've played so far.
