Definitely. We need more Khawarij, and we need more Zhayedan minis. Then there are all the yet-unreleased units- I've been trying to put together a Haqq "caliphate" list (i.e. vanilla Haqq using coniftrmed RTF troops only), and the choices available seem to have several gaping holes.
Personally, I like our two new REMs, I've the old ones that are still very nice, but new style based on Maggy design is amazing.
I will buy the new ones for my armies - I owned one Chickenbot but sold it a long time agoe withe the core of my QK. Right now I use several YJ REM as generic Bots for all my Fractions (TJC, DBS, Ikari) as I like their GitS-Style. But the new Haqq-REM look really great. Is there any news about when they will hit the shelves??
No, if they're an October release, the retailers will have them in October. That was changed a while back.
Has anyone gotten around to getting a box of these? I got mine just the other day with the intent to build a Fanous and Shihab, but the contents of the box left me a little confused. It looks as though each remote should have one cylindrical (smokestack?) attachment on the right and the weapon goes on it's left. The flash pulse attachment looks exactly like one of the cylinders but my box only came with two, so if I want a flash pulse and an HMG it looks like I'm a bit short. It's a new-ish product and I don't know exactly what it's supposed to have and I can't tell if I have a mispack or if the box simply can't build what I'm after. I included a picture with all the contents of my box which hopefully illustrates what I'm trying to articulate. Any help from my fellow knowledge seekers would be very appreciated!
I do not understeand the problem. You say "one smokestack each model" and there are two "smokestack" parts on the frame with missile launcher piece. Seems every REM gets a smoke stack - that's what the official pictures show, too. ...still better deal than with the old "chickenbot" REMs, where there was a distinct piece for a Fanous & Rafiq flashpulse gear, and you were getting only a single one of it. I went around it by making my Fanous have an extra antenna instead of it :P
@Ankaa my box of remotes is not yet delivered since I bought some pre-order stuff from next month with it, so I unfortunately cannot tell you if it's a mispack, but I would definately think so, since it was advertised that "all parts for all variants will be included" ... so if you build a Fanous you should be able to build at least another Remote from the box and with the parts you have that does not seem possible, since every Remote needs a "smokestack" and the Fanous needs two (so at least three "smokestacks" should be included in the box to meet the advertisement). I might not have that problem since I ordered two boxes and am currently planning to build my Shihab with the HMG on one side and the smart Missile pod on the other side (to make it look closer to being a true Mini-Maggie) so I should be good either way, but if really only two "smokestacks" are meant to be included in the box that seems just wrong to me.
I built mine and it only came with two. However, I do feel like its a mispack as one stack is a right and one is a left but all of the remotes with a gun get a right stack and the fanous gets a right and left. The fanous gets two "smoke stacks" meaning you don't have enough parts to make a fanous and any of the other remotes. Furthermore, as I pointed out the "smoke stacks" are not two rights or two lefts but one right and one left. So you will end up with one model where the "smoke stack" points forwqrd instead of backward.
I have purchased 4 boxes of these and they are all the same. It is not a mispack unless they are all a mispack.
You are right. Mispack is not the right word. Its either a failure on CB to put enough parts in the box to make a fanous + 1 other remote per their image, some sort of failure at the supply side that they just ran with or a pretty big failure in the quality control department. A couple of months from now if people who buy the kit get 3 to 4 "smoke stacks" then well will know it was a mistake and not an intentional shorting of parts.
What if you want to build two Fanous? :P Anyway, same "problem" here. Didn't need extra cylinders because I was making Shihab and Rafiq, but there's that.
I just built my fanous the same as the shihab and left the weapon port empty so I can jam/mag the missile launcher in if I ever want to, without a weapon it's hard to confuse it as anything else, I don't even know which remote uses the combi rifle but can't imagine I'll use it.
It is Rafiq the Sensor Bot. A very universal choice, and actually can make a pretty decent assault REM aganst light targets with Assisted Targeting Supportware. It has a Repeater, Sensor and Forward Observer, so against camo-heavy opponents it is really useful. As well as a fast Specialist.
Oh. One thing I had in mind and forgot to point out: this is not a Combi Rifle on the Rafiq, it is the standard Haqq-issue Rifle+Light Shotgun combo. Meaning you can get in close and affect several models at once with the shotgun blast. Combined with Assisted Targetting I've mentioned before this means Shock Ammo Terminal Template, pretty deadly to groups of Light / Medium Infantry (or other one-Wound models that get catched in a template effect). With a bit of luck (and bad deployment on the opponent's part) this can mean a dead Fireteam...
