I was not talking about the fun to play Tunguska. I love the fluff and units as well. And since I own all Nomads models and working on Raoul and Securitate Feuerbach proxies I will play them more often for sure. I Was talking about the competitive side of the army. :)

Money cannot buy MSV2 but it can buy the Ashcroft Hunting Party

    Speaking of which

    Anyone tried that out?

I am kind of thinking that the Sniper and dual Breaker Pistols option is pretty good for duo-ing with a BSg Miranda.

Sniper can clear stuff out at range and is likely to roll something at least decent 2/3 of the time, Miranda can then grab an objective.

How did I miss that regular Ashcroft was an SO?

Hmm... I'd probably do a button pushing Duo with a Red Fury over the Sniper.

Honestly she's really good even or possibly especially by herself.

I usually have access to the Observance, so I've always discounted her. 11pts is usually worth it for a Regular order and Hacker.

And Mary Problems is even only 6-7 points more expensive then Ashcroft.

Yeah, in Tunguska there's definitely a role. Not sure in Vanilla that's as true.

If you could run solo Ashcroft or duo her with something more ostensibly useful than the regular ABH I probably would have already.

Still, that's mostly because I have zero experience with the ABH. Taking off the Booty L2 I'd theoretically take it and Booty L2 seems to cost maybe 2pts? So seems like almost 9/10 you're getting your points back or more there.

The reason the Sniper appeals is 1) sexy mini which I acquired from a Spanish gentleman in Indianapolis, and 2) Ashcroft is really going to be better up to 16" because ODD, the Sniper provides the range.

The Miranda team i've always found a bit weird, I've never tried it but never felt like I want them either?

    Same

But I like her mini and background, and she is an ODD specialist for 24pts. I think she's good tbh, t's making the duo work. And I think it can work. In Haqq or Ariadna I'd be all over that shit. Low SWC Sniper with free stuff tied to a good shooter and target grabber, with a DTW? Nothing wrong there.

Ohhh she's only a specialist in the Duo version where she must take a ABH along (which can always be a good result, not that bad, and regular order too).

How are you doing the feuerbach? I was thinking teucers because his arms are similar to the securitate.

Thinking it might be worth it for a nice little team that can grab objectives and kill at all ranges against light troops. If you could take her on her lonesome I think that'd be very popular mind, and therefore finding the most useful ABH profile and getting that on the field could be well worth the time. With her, Perseus and Mary Problems you're also deploying a decent amount of ODD, which many opponents will struggle to deal with.

Thorakite Feuerbach works great with the standing up lady Securitate. Requires little to no conversions work. Bend the arms a little bit and file down the arm peg and you're good to go.
    Use this model's arms...

@BingBong nice easy conversion, it looks like i'll finally have to buy the Thorakitai box on the LFGS shelve after all.

A new spin on Tunguskan money - what about a situation where you have too much of it, and end up spending more than other people on roughly the same things?

@Gunmage I dunno, how much do you value the other stats and a visor?

Arm 3+3 (cover) fails to save a combi 35% of the time arm 2+3 fails to save a combi 40% of the time. That isn't trivial. I also don't mind the WiP bump either fwiw. Only thing that's bloaty is 2 different pistols, which is probably only a point or two.

Also the visor can be more significant depending on what terrain you play on. If you ever include low and poor visibility zones on your tables that visor helps against a wide range of targets depending on board position. If you only play with various sizes of boxes then yeah it's only relevant against camo/ odd. If you DO use vis mods you occasionally double dip for a 6 point swing ignoring camo mods AND vis zone mods.
