Did you see spoilers from Spanish Ora Critika podcast? Tactical sense: irregular, can be used in fireteam only by the owner and with information how NCO works I can see some interesting new ways how to play MAF. NCO: turns the order regular, can be used in a link by anyone in it, dont need to be in the same combat group
Nah, I guess I wasn't up to date on that bit of info. Okay I take that back then. Tactical Sense seem pretty good for MAF. For my purposes I do think NCO will come into play a whole bunch for me.
Unfortunately I don't know. I was trying to decipher stuff from that podcast with youtube subtitles, but it isn't good tool. What I know is that they were discussing Shas fluff most of the time and then there was something about Ko Dali and something about Morats. They spoke about reason why there is no Sogarat haris (too expensive, not very often taken). Then they spoke about rumor that Soggy will have FA2, but I don't know if they confirmed it and they also said something about Anyat, but I am not sure what it was. Perhaps @fari or any other spanish player can help us?
They only said the fireteams list. up to 4 vanguard + 1 Suryat Kornak + up to 4 suryats Raktorak: wildcard 1 or 2 oznat + up to 4 hungries Treikat Anyat count as a Vanguard No more Kornak+Sogarat haris (because RUMOUR RUMOUR sogarats get Full Auto Lv 2)
"No more sogarat haris because Full Auto" so much bullshit. Krizas can Haris. I really think they will remove that option because the Raktorak wilcard would make the Sogarat haris way too versatile and they don't want that. Which I think its dumb.
*Vindicated* - I said that Carlos announcing Kornak's special link as him + up to 4 Suryats would be because it was an *actual change* and would be his only link option. I don't mind Sogs losing linkability - but it circles back to my earlier points of CB mishandling the release of information and hype-generation. They showed off too little for MAF, didn't show the obvious "wins", and we've been left languishing for ages waiting for the changes to be shown. To then casually mention Sogarats were no longer linkable in a FB post was a foolish ball drop - and to not even come back with a "leak" of info somewhere to provide any justification; even worse. Personally, I'm a big fan of Soggies Auto-Med, but in this heyday of Daiyokai and their clones (Mo Wang), it seems it might be more realistic to expect that we lose this kit and gain V:NWI instead. I think this would help to make the Sog feel more like the man-tank that he is supposed to represent.
Loss of Sog Link, with some neat kind of upgrade is just fine IMO. I am afraid of not feeling motivated to take more than one Sogorat, now, though. I only ever took Feuerbach in the Harris. ... although as a solo if it had FA2, that'd be preeetty good. The Burst and -3 applies in ARO for FA2, yea? As for Suryat Core: that NCO and Tactical Sense will make for a potential 12-order Paintrain bumrush, which is extremely good when you consider that there's a specialist in there, and Strategic Command Tokens wont slow you down. Still, that will be a list that will be difficult to fit many tools into. IMO, composition favors chaff/disposable ARO troops and redundancy too much. These changes look to be changing that. They're slowly finding more ways to convince the player it's a good idea to take a few big things rather than lots of little things. I'd like to keep the Automedkit for it's uniqueness, but would rather see a change to the automedkit itself. Currently it's simply expensive and high risk. NWI seems to be the same cost, or nearly so. A simple solution is to reduce the cost of it. 56 points is a lot. If they add FA2, he's easily going above 60, I'd imagine. A better solution is to improve the way automedkits work and move in the direction that Holo2 took, and allow it to function between turns without order expenditure.[/QUOTE]
I agree. CB should give to all factions in the Third offensive same space and give us more info about MAF and Invincibles. Right now Third Offensive feels like Pan O book and not like book where CA will kick Human sphere in the ass.
Chances they will update the rule - close to 0. And yes, Automed is pretty unique when looked at in a bubble/isolated. But look at Combined Army as a whole - it is Shasvastii flavour on a Morat model. And that doesn't sit right with me.
It just hurts that there's so much more info around for everything else - apparently rumours overnight confirmed the "Montessa" Tikbalang will have an AP HMG at the cost of it's mines, the MO fireteam options are way more diverse and look to allow for about 500% more build variety than before, and there's even talk of a new Joan duo link option - apparently Orcs are getting Stealth and Multiterrain for Varuna. There were also past rumours/leaks about multiple profiles for the Seraph, new profiles for the Squalo... The list goes on. MAF got a Wildcard (and so did all the other Sectorials in the book), got 1 new Suryat profile, we've been teased a Rodok Haris, and Sog links are gone with the assumption this is balanced by a profile change. Super minimalistic changes in comparison to MO.
Guys, guys, calm down. Even though I am very much unsatisfied with these changes, the book isn't out yet. We don't know. Be patient. I am trying (hard) to believe that every sectorial to come out in this book will have the same level of care given to it. And I don't think a Tikbalang trading mines for an AP HMG is that great. So far the only bad thing about this update is losing Kornak's ability to haris, and we're not even sure that's the case. He might still be able to haris with Suryats, which would be good enough as, as most people have commented, Sogs like to run solo anyways.
Never thought of automedkit as shasvasti flavor. That's a fair point. Though the Shas, I think, would be better off with Regeneration instead. Regardless, IF automedkit weren't so high risk, it could be superior to NWI. But yeah, there's about a million things sogorat could get that would be awesome. My main hope is that I continue to be compelled to take more than one soggy. :P
They better not get rid of those mines. They're a godsend. If the Sogs get FA 2 I wouldn't care about the fireteam loss honestly. I never thought the Kriza team was a very good option for how expensive it was. While Kornak and Soggies was fun to scare people with it ultimately wasn't a really good choice.
Why do you say that? The Fuerbach is described as being a rapid fire weapon (remember, burst is an abstract representation, not a direct equivalent to number of rounds downrange).
*shrug* These weapons exist in links, and the Overdron already has increased burst versions of these by packing one on each shoulder - I don't think it's entirely out of the ballpark. But Leviathan and I agree that Fatality l1 seems a better fit the Soggie's TAG-sized weaponry.
Not really - mitteninja has the right of it, it's not a slow firing weapon. Honestly it's a bit surprising that it's B2 based on the description. From the wiki: "The Feuerbach, or "River of Fire" in German, shoots auto-propelled projectiles. These small, lightweight projectiles have a quick loading and boosting mechanism that provides a rapid rate of fire."
