I hope it has 0 W with NWI so it starts in NWI state and goes straight to proper dead after a single failed ARM roll, lol
I think jokes could be less crying flavoured We've all got it a month a month a go... pseudo HIs are disappointing even if they are useful and cheap because... you know it's not what "everyone" was expecting I'm not so naive to think mowang will be a unstoppable killing machine like Achilles or the avatar, but I thing It might be a good addition tu YJs arsenal. The Red fury and Multi loadouts seem to aim for a Low-SWC tool in a Hi-SWC sectorial. It will probably be faster than Yan-huo. The last batch of S5 HIs seem to have 4-4 movement (ratnik, taskmaster, daiyokai...) and that fits the loadouts we know It will have It will probably be more Tougher than Yan-huo. At least that's what the concept design sugests And regarding the cost... I don't think it will be too high. maybe close to daofei or Yanhuo's, or at least not too far away (close to hsien's?). Because from HMC (or infiltration+camo) to multi rifle or red fury there should be enough cost gap to finance skills and equipment. I think this Bad Boy will be pretty interesting. Specially inside invincible.
Given the Mowang ("Demon Lord") dossier, I'm expecting something like a Kriza Boracs or Taskmaster. CC capabilities strictly optional.
One of the most interesting parts of the Mowang dossier to me is the Akrylat Cannon and Flammenspeer listed at the bottom. Should make for some interesting ARO options, and I think those weapons aren't too expensive due to disposable.
I'm thinking a really big midfielder patterned off the Su Jian Combat Form for the Mowang, but a little cheaper. I really think the Hulang Shocktroopers will be Aragoto-style motorcyclists- Tiger for a unit icon, in the "Mechanised" part of the AVA list, in a sectorial that is going to have trouble getting things done on its order count and which currently has exactly one KHD. Whether or not they will be HI or WB is the question for me, and whether they will have CC skills. It's definitely not a TAG, that thought got shut down in an interview a while back.
Flammenspeers look nice too, and if Mowangs are top-gear HI just like Yan Huo, and it should be, We'll be dishing out BS14 HRL aro. Quite a barbeque.
I think Section9 is saying that CC is not forced on the Mowang. I definitely see it as a Kriza variant. However with a name like Hulong Shocktroopers, they should have some solid cqc stats/equipment/skills. Heavy Shotguns, Grenades, Flamethrowers, SMGs, Chain Rifles, and even Drop Bears need not apply. Sixth Sense could be fun.
Still sort of hoping it's a Camo Kriza with lighter weapons. Roughly at 60 mark. Of note is that Mowang translates to Demon Lord from several languages in the region with Japanese also equating it to something along the lines of Nemisis.
Our camos seems to have some vast fields of surface to work on (I.E. Zhencha poncho or Dao cloaks). Looks like mimetism to me.
Yeah, but on the other hand none of our other two humanoid Mimetic troops have any camo patterns at all.
I'm not sold on Camo Kriza. It's like.... sure. Or I could just pay for a Hac Tao with bigger and better guns, or the same gun and be a specialist (multirifle), and better MODs better size and the all important marker state. Needs to be shitload cheaper than 60pts to compete there.
Depends on a few other factors. For one, if the Mowang has another special rule such as Infiltration or Forward Deployment or if it's really funky and combines Camo with Holo2 or Fatality with Full Auto. For another is if the Hulang is more melee oriented and also a camo S5. I'll concede that a Camo Kriza is likely not going to be more than a side-grade to the Hac Tao (roughly paying size and lack of HD for higher burst)
Well yeah if it's got other game changers like Infiltration, sure, it'll be a way more attractive choice.
