this thread is about the crazy crossover ideas with Infinity. For example a Metalocalypse crossover about dethklok's tour around the human sphere and the carnage that follows in they path.
Well, considering my experience on the Internet, and things I saw on the gaming table, Infinity x My Little Pony -.- I'd say Infinity x Eclipse Phase, but... EP already "contains" anything Infinity might dream off, and with less contradictions.
Well, I originally wanted to do an Infinity x Superheroes, with my Odalsiques being a team of superheroines battling supervillains all over the Human Sphere. I still sprinkle a little bit of my original idea, but I really miss writting Obliterette using her Repulsor Field punches instead of a Spitfire. Infinity does lend itself for an Infinity x Ready Player One/Sword Art Online; in which a VR game in Maya attracts the best amateur Hackers, and maybe a Hexa, an Interventor, or even Aleph herself; into an adventure of epic proportions. I would also like to see an Infinity x The Running Man; similar to Aristeia, but bloodier and not at all fair for the convicts.
@R-z I thought your Infinity x Persona suggestion was a neat idea that could mesh well. As for other universes, there are many possibilities that could easily fit into the world of the Human Sphere or in the Tohaa/Combined outer space. From series like Hitman, Metal Gear Rising, Remember Me, The Shadow (Comic/Radio show), Ace Attorney & more can merge into the universe seamlessly or mostly. Even older series like Zatoichi can work with a modern twist/tweek. Zatoichi would be a perfect type of story/tale set in Yu Jing especially since CB's new RPG lore mentions that the Triads/Yakuza are an important part of the Yu Jing community structure. Tiger & Bunny would be another good idea to try. A show that consists of superheroes competing against each other by fighting crime and getting points & rankings during a season is something that would become a hit in the Sphere. Add the fact that companies finance & sponsor the heroes & heroines in Tiger & Bunny then you can see alot of businesses from every nation backing a hero or more for publicity/public image. This makes me wonder how other series would fit into Infinity like RWBY, TMNT, Darkman, etc..would work out? Having the Equestrians & the other major species in the show being a part or an ally with the Tohaa would work. The bits of info that I know of the Equestrian nation makes me think that their mindset could fit with the Tohaa's doctrines. I mean they would make great propaganda pieces to influence the Human Sphere. It would be an invasion in the vain of the "British Invasion" that the Beatles started with shows, merchandise and popularity that come seemly out of nowhere. A good possibility especially in PanO's culture then it would begin to spread to the rest of the nations.
I'll refer you to the purple dinosaur sophotect in Paradiso the RPG gracefully introduced to us... XD And there is a player in my community who uses ponies as HVT proxies. Glued to a S2 base... There is a reason I never bothered to recover any SANity points when I lost the last one more than 15 years ago... XD
Indeed, sanity is overrated, especially when coming up with new and creative ways to personalize your army or terrain. We were playing the Wotan Kill Cage Scenario in my house and we didn't have enough scenery for the 5 turrets, so The Mad Kazak placed one of my daughter's Peppa Pig toy as the central turret inside the room. That Peppa killed more units than both players combined. It ended up a game of Players vs the Table and Peppa won.
How about Infinity x Girls und Panzer, only with TAGs instead of tanks? More seriously, I like the idea of a crossover with one of those "pulled into an MMO" series, like Sword Art, or Log Horizon. One snag is, when you look at it honestly, it really doesn't matter what "real" world the characters come from. Once inside the game, it's all the same, our present or Infinity... Vocaloids would be an obvious choice to bring over, as entertainment-focused Aleph aspects... And you could always go for the ever popular Heart of Darkness adaptation, this time on Ariadna and with Antipodes!
Tropico In which one of el presidente's descendants was able to secure 50 spots for him and other tropicians on the colony ship Ariadna by bri- I mean giving a generous donation to the Dawn colonization project.
Since he won't do it, i'm going to shamelessly pimp out his thread: The Avalon Chronicles. Carry on with your scheduled crazy crossover ideas
Well, you know, I didn't want to toot my own horn too loudly. Luckily, I've got other people who think I deserve it. :kissingheart: And talking really crazy... How about some magical girls in Infinity? Probably in the style of Vividred Operation, where sufficiently advanced technology stands in for actual magic. Something like some really crazy, advanced, voodoo-tech-derived super prototypes an insane genius unleashes to help fight the EI?
Infinity x Hell's Kitchen. Various contestants from across the human sphere attempt to cook delicious michelin-star food while being yelled at by an Aleph recreation of Gordon Ramsey
Ariadna's cuisine, Caskuda-based delicatessen cloned by the Haqquislamite biotech. There is already a couple of Infinity comics about that XD
@Danger Rose @R-z @xagroth @jherazob I think Magical Girls in Infinity would end up alot like the "Magical Girl Raising Project" which I recently found out about today. I haven't fully looked into the series myself, just skimmed over it, but from what I read/saw the premise & tone would mesh well in CB's universe. The series is a serious/darker take on the Magical Girl series so I'm warning you on the content in advance. The crossover could especially work as a "secret government project" experimenting on making Human/Ur tech hybrids in vein of the E.I. Aspects we have currently in the game. There should be Magical Boys as well besides girls in the project. Even "MGRP" has a Magical Boy in it.
Miniskirted Posthumans with ponytails and colorful hair! Plus, extra Dynamic Poses! I frigging hope no Kyuubei will show up, however... :p
Infinity x Lovecraft Basically a version of Charles Stross' Laundry series, or Delta Green, but with the Hexahedron, cyber ninjas, and werewolves taking care of eldritch horrors from beyond reality, whilst having their paperclip supplies audited.
