These fellas look close enough to the old ones that they can probably share a table without being too offensive. Tell ya what is offensive though - a non-helmeted Kuang Shi. I don't want to know what she looks like...who she was before she became a political prisoner...that she enjoyed riding horses and long walks on the beach, and drinking cosmos and taking selfies...NO. No Instagram, just insta-kablam.
Why doesn’t the BSG model have a BSG? I get that they’re disposable troops, but surely importing foreign weapons for them is pretty stupid.

I just assume there is more than 1 YJ arms manufacturer, and they have different designs for weapons that fill the same role. Be pretty weird if there was only 1 company producing firearms for a nation that large.
Definitely agree with not liking the one wearing her helmet on the top of her head. This looks as silly to me as the one new Wu Ming who' s also not wearing his helmet. This sort of goofiness may cut it for 40K Space Marines, but not for my Imperial Service.
I always wonder how Kuang Shi are made in practical terms. I'd guess the criminal is brainwashed and basically used as an L-host for a cube with the Kuang shi persona. CQB training and fanatical loyalty. Their kit and poses indicate they are not mindless.
Wait what? New YJ Shotgun? Sure, looks like a shotgun, but we've got several modern models with the old BSG, don't we? I mean, I'd be happier if that's a light shotgun for more than one reason...
Yeah, it's weird. Unless its like a cheaper stripped down one that's given to the Kuang Shi. But the Garuda coming in February has a redesigned Aleph BSG too, although the Hospitaller Knights have the current PanO BSG (and are arguably the most in need of a new one, as the current one is essentially just the combi rifle with a grip at the front).

No, but it's super easy to make molds of the helmeted one and replicate them. It's what I've actually copied the most out of anything and it's just a one part mold.
CB usually advertises alternate parts in the product photos. I would say there is zero chance of an alternate arm turning up in this box at this point.
No more "Reverse Harem" jokes for the Kuang Shi link team I guess. I will also add to the voices finding it weird to have the open faceplate. Perhaps they deliberately wanted to show that they're indeed human under there, or it could be the philosophy of "if you don't sculpt a female as pretty, it would be mistaken for a poor sculpt."
I wouldn't have been averse to a helmetless Darth Vader style head, though. To show the inhuman treatment, you know.
Yeah, I have to admit I was expecting something like this... with an endless stream of "isn't Yu-Jing great" propaganda playing picture in picture as they run towards the enemy. It would be *really* nice if a second set of the helmeted female head and chain rifle arms were included. When you buy the second pack of these guys, you're really not going to want another boarding shotgun or another unhelmeted snowflake in your kuang shi group. 7 chain rifles and one bsg makes some sense. So does 8 chain rifles. 6 chain rifles and 2 bsg is at least one useless mini. The existing kuang shi box had 4 chain rifles and one BSG, so this isn't that much of an impossibility. Fingers crossed!
Hmm, look like they might be ok against the existing Kuang Shi minis too. Well, better grab a box of each to be safe! :)
Huh? Shikami, Myamoto and some Joan sculpts come with extra heads. Grey HMG comes with extra bits to switch between poses. I do doubt they will give us a box set with one extra head though. I dunno, Muyib girls are pretty convincing even without special headpieces or something long these lines.
