Pan O seems intent on flooding the market. Not looking forward to AVA 3 13 point neurocinetics SMMR from Varuna.

That's fair. I will point out center objectives with exclusion zone encourage deployment in the dead zone, which is perfect for going after either the centerline or DZ.

Keep in mind it's only regular impetuous. They can choose whether or not they Leeroy or wait to find another way.

Regardless of the results of the old drug roulette, the primary threat of the Krakot isn't really a camoed up skirmisher, but unprepared troops behind them. Generally speaking the skirmisher is in the best place to stop those burst 4 SMG chestmine shenanigans, but the cost of our skirmishers makes that a risky proposition.

Most of that assumption was due to thinking it was a 2 wound HI, and price had to be cut down. That and it would be a more nuanced design than an uparmored Dasyu.

Also the most recent skirmishers were the Streloks, so FD instead of infiltration was on the mind.

Lu duan, our good old multi-tool. Good point.

Totally agreed to Camo issues; Lcamo would bring even more salts, although if he got any Immunity I think it will be a fair trade.

TBH Helots are real problem, since PanO didnt got such cost effective defence pieces. VIRD will be a problem, no doubt about it.

And those Zulu Cobras.. Guess I gotta face VIRD ASAP. Then I could speak more about it.

If thing get dire (like mission unmasking), ADs would pose a threat. Good points again; but I would suggest altitude hugging once more, this will save his ass.

I agree on SK lines are the optimal place for stopping Krakot. It matches with my experience. Still, I would try to block him with Guilangs if possible on Vanilla, but in IA.. well, I'll say "Come At Me Bro" with my zuyong link team.

I feel like the Zhencha does not want to engage with other camo infiltrators in a hunter killer mode, though he can. Really he wants to be grabbing and securing objectives, as they are able to complete many classifieds and are quite mobile. Moving up to a console, grabbing it, then moving up a raised position and going into suppression fire will be a relatively tough nut to crack, and quite order efficient given that he can infiltrate directly into position. For 34pts, the ability to MOV-push button, MOV MOV into ideal place, suppression? That's quite nice.

Basically he's supposed to fill the role of a Zero FO or other such camo infiltration type, but costs about 15pts more. For that he gets greatly increased resilience, broader classified completion possibilities, superior mobility and nastier AROs. I think that's quite worth it. Overlapping AROs from that and from, say, efficient fireteams of Shang Ji HRLs with Zhanshi FOs means that your opponent will have to put a lot of orders into taking that objective back, as everyone you're looking at shooting has Camo/Suppression/NWI or BS 16/HRL/SSL2 and B2.

There was also some assumption that the Daofei was going to be present in the list, so we were expecting something less than a Daofei, which at the time meant Limited Camo and FD2 instead of the Daofei's Camo+Infiltration, mostly to save points. This would have been on a Zuyong chassis, so about 8 points more than a Zuyong (according to Moblots, Mimetism on an HI is +2, and Infiltration on an HI is +5).

Same issue with the Liu Xing Shooting Star. We were expecting Tigers to be in the sectorial, so we were expecting something much more than a Tiger.

Tried a zhencha out yesterday. Wasn't too bad, but didn't have to worry about the usual risks against MO.

Used climbing plus to deploy somewhere pretty safe. I can see this combo-ing well with guilang AHD as you would deploy both in similar locations sometimes.

He then climbed around to get a rear shot on a knight with a DEP and splattered him. But ended up isolated for De fersen.

Not a bad first outing. Let me get to an objective much more easily than a guilang would have, combined with the movement to get a kill shot with the 1 shot DEP hitting on 15s.

Well I mean this is the zhencha thread. But my opponent only brought the montesa specialist with BSG. But tried an alpha. Could have gone well and really nailed a few key pieces (high reward), but I got a little lucky and he got bogged down on layers of defense, got stuck in a bad position in LoF of a Rui Shi in smoke having taken a wound and proceeded to get gunned down in the back by a guilang.

No dart. But she would have needed to spend a bunch of orders flushing out the zhencha early on.

Cuz I thought Dart's gonna be a major problem since she's popping up into more and more sectorial. And she's a pain for Zhencha afterall :(

When you look at the stats and abilities, it’s easy to see where the comparisons between Zhencha and Dart come from...

But, that said, I think the fact one is a specialist and the other is not just sets them apart completely. Yes, Dart wins a firefight with “mini-Dao” most often than not but she is useless at button pressing.

    It’s an important difference.

I mean yeah, dart is made for hunting skirmishers. It's in her name and everything.

The Zhencha needs to be particularly careful. But I think climbing plus makes that achievable.

Dart comes in Sectorials with Nagas or TOSOS to push the buttons tho, so that's not an issue at all!

Yes, but that’s exactly my point: you need other people to do the job. All in all, I don’t think I’d take Dart over the Zhencha if I could. Depends on the kind of mission I guess...

Your point being? The same can be said for the Daofei and Kanren AHD with WIP13 & BTS 3. It's even worse for Tiger, Guilang, and Ninja with BTS 0. Yes I'd love a killer hacker but guess what, there isn't one, I'm not ecstatic about the Zhencha but he's what we got and seems like an okay alternative to an expensive Daofei.

I don't know if you realised, but all of those other profiles you just named tend not to get used for the exact same reason.

Of course I realized. By you? Or are you assuming everyone? Because I do and so do others I play with. I've taken the Daofei AHD and like it. KHD or not. ya they've ruined my day a few times but I've done the same to them. I tend to believe in getting them before they get me. Even KHD only has burst 1 in ARO. Of course if I can I'll kill them with the multi-rifle instead of hacking but either works just fine. Zhencha doesn't have a multi-rifle but the Boarding shotgun is not bad. If they are in range for hacking then they are in range for the BSG.

Has CB confirmed that they forgot to add shock immunity to the Zhencha profile yet?

I mean, that would require them to communicate with us. But the only time they interact with the forum is to admonish us for criticizing them.

At this stage, I'm not holding my breath.

The Zencha is a bad Dasyu that can be hacked, and its only worthwhile profile is the SMG FO because the bloody gun is so under-costed that it can spin lead in to gold. It will continue to be a profile that would have been better with -2 ARM and a change of designation from 'HI' to 'SK'. Nine years from now, the IA will get a revamp (just in time to get shitcanned!) and an update and the Zencha will get fixed and those still around will laud it as a fantastic decision despite fighting tooth and nail against it when the bloody thing was released.

I mean, no, this has never happened before *cough*2nd Edition Imperial Service*cough*.

Man, damn that sore throat; it feel dry in here to anyone else? Must be all the flames and salt!

tl;dr - Just give in to apathy and nihilism!
