Hmm. This means we could do this: 1x Santiago w/ spitefire 1x Santiago KHD 3x Magister w/ light shotgun + panzerfuast. It sucks that we can't have the hospitaller doctor in the link but overall that still is an amazingly good link for its cost.
Okay, but we were talking about being in a link. Further Assault does NOT require you to move in a straight line. Right, the Teuton can take down two 26 pt skirmishers, assuming that both hit, and wound, which is not really good odds. Generally they're going to be CC 12-15, or BS 11-13, which means ~60-75% chance of hitting. They're often armed with a rifle, combi, chain rifle, or some other D13 weapon, which means 50% chance to wound. Best case, say 75% chance to hit, then 50% chance to wound is ~38% chance to wound, or about 1/3. So worst case the Teuton should be able to carve through 2x 20+pt skirmisher models , while 3 is a more average result, and 4-5 isn't unreasonable. He's making his points back, and probably doing so in a pretty cost effective manner. Ah, thanks, missed that.
Provided they aren't in suppression fire and covered by mines or other troopers or in a camo state then yeah sure they can punk some skirmishers.
Suppression fire isn't necessarily going to save them either. Odds still strongly favor the Teuton in a 5 man link, and the Link has likely brought a model with a boarding shot gun for close ranged assault, or a HMG, which can shoot outside of 24", or at least 16". Mines are a problem, but they're going to be a problem for any model attempting to go into CC, that's not unique to the Teuton. OTOH, 36 points W2 ARM3, and going against a model that's slight less expensive might make face tanking the mines worth it. Definitely better than Joan, Hospitaller, or Santiago, since they're all more expensive.
Sure, but based on the 'build the hype' teasers, PanO has holy shit nice things and units significantly differentiated from each other by profile, while IA has slightly-different versions of other profiles already in the YJ lists and actually lost a couple units we thought were going to be in IA. So at first glance, it looks like MO is better for building an all-HI (or all HI and REMs) list. There'd better be some crazy-awesome stuff in IA that hasn't been spoiled yet.
Okay here are some other news: - Blackfriar MR can Link with OS Wonder what will happen to Konstantinos and the MSR BF? - Hospitalers can no longer link with Magisters STOP right there. With Magisters having their own Core and Santiagos having newly improved Profiels and Wildcard, that is not the worst thing in the world. There are a lot of Special entries for Links to be revealed, further "counts as X" and Wildcard options for Fatherknight, Santiago, Joan and DeFe are also still possible. We also have a Tik available to cover our HMG needs otherwise, this isn't a problem. A full Hospitaler Link also got 10 points cheaper with access to Santiagos AND you can run a Hospitaler Haris with HMG+DOC+BSG for 106. Also remember Magisters have CORE by themselves now, you can run a full gang of 5 angry dudes or field them as an incredibly annoying defensive links, chock full of Missiles and Panzerfausts. Magisters might also change and/or get mor Profiles. - Teutons can Haris with Magisters I'll just assume that is gonna turn out great with the OS Core options. - Seraph gets a Profile change I personally like the Seraph. Assuming OS Links have a way to provide Active Turn long Range fire support he would have been better already. Best guess is an upgrade to his weaponkit and Auxbot revamp. - Santiagos get a Profile change We kinda saw the Vanilla dossier already(and the BSG is MIA for some reason), but not the MO one. This might be of no concern or a pretty neat. - not quite sure what the last one means.... Fatherknight Wildcard? They're a prime candidate for profile changes and Link options... guess we'll have to wait fort hat one.
You're misreading/mistranslating it, the Black Friar Sniper doesn't have a Biometric Visor. EDIt - and the last one is saying something about kids.
Hoping the Seraph "profile change" is like the Raicho/Anaconda and just additional options (but also clarification of and/or fixing the auxbot issues).
Your late. I already wrote about that last page. Got the info from the spanish form. :P Don't steal my thunder. :P
Kids = probably OS. And yes it means MR BF only linkable. While I understand why (or why not) the MSR is not linkable, it makes this choice (which already wasn't that popular) even more niche (unless it gets "something"). Either way it's pure speculation as now there are too many changes being done to MO to really say what will be good and tasty (hopefully everything).
Thanks, accidently wrote Sniper instead of MR. It's obviously talking about the one with Biometric Visor being Linkable (hence the comment about Konstantinos who already is a MSV2 Linkable Rifle guy). The Sniper would have made a lot more sense as it is the one looking for a proper role to play anywhere right now.
Like i said ill be sad to see hospitaller magister link go. But we can now run magister + santiago and hospitaller haris if we wanted to.
Wait, is there a Telegram channel about Infinity that I am not aware of? Can someone post it here so I can join?
