Now that the tag sistem is the new target, i will ask for a small show of hands, who is willig to turn the SuJian into a Rem to get MI on this new guys? If not, all this "what really is a HI?" is bs
You're engaging in a strawman argument here, but let's just say we've had this debate before and it kind of ended in a draw. Prone vs Assisted Fire and a Dodge penalty? Also the Karakuri and Su-Jian are long in the tooth so it's not exactly new. Well, the Su-Jian being a supreme tier unit is fairly recent, but not the basic functionality and stats.
And, I can totally see how people might not think skulking around is what they signed up for with the HI faction, but Yu Jing have got form there...
This, combined with all the stuff that Varuna and MO are getting, is the real twisting of the knife. Perhaps they just happened to mess up and pick the worst two units in the faction to preview, but to get options that are so limp in comparison to what we already have while PanO gets good, fun toys to play with kind of hurts. Especially after being told that this is supposed to make up for all the interesting tools we lost in Uprising.
Which makes CB sticking the "HI" tag on a unit that is not an HI but a MI in terms of stats even more hilarious. Not only does he get the HI vulnerabilities, he also gets the HI price tag for Camo and Infiltration. A masterpiece. And just for the "but it's a full HI army" meme'
It's interesting that Daoying (SwordEagle) are Operative Control Units but there's only 3 AVA and they can't seem to link with anything. What are they in control of? YJ version of Marionette? The whole force with NCO, and that sort of thing? For the Hulang Shocktrooper, I think because of it's placement in the list after TAG but before Skirmish-Not-Skirmish, it's some time of skirmisher. Carlos said no new TAG :(. The name means Savage or Vicious. I'm hoping for something like an infiltrating Shikami or better yet. a new kind of Su-Jian! The fact that there's only 2 AVA and Duo is VERY close to Su-Jian in ISS.
You are sure fast to adminish Sure, all pros, now answer please who cares? here the complain is what goes into the definition, but you turning into "what is more OP?" answers the question, thanks
A strawman is when you're bringing up something unrelated to shift the focus from the issue at hand: see Nixon saying he'd not want to put his dog to death 'cause his daughters loved it to shift focus away from accusations that he'd illegally appropriated campaign contributions for his own personal use.
Wrong. The Daofei has been part of the game since the beginning. (So has the Hac Tao/Swiss Guard) I was expecting to see a Zuyong suit/statline with probably Limited Camo and FD2. It would probably be about the same cost as the Zhencha (give or take 5 points). Because the Daofei was supposed to be part of the Invincible Army!!! By fluff, the Daofei has been part of the Invincible Army since the start of the game. Pretty close. From Wiki: A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man."
I am having a hard time parsing what you're trying to say (in this and the previous post; I realise that English probably isn't your first language, so fair enough) but you're going in with an extremely combative tone. That isn't particularly useful, especially when you're engaging with a very obvious strawman argument (as pointed out by Mahtamori and Benkei). The Su-Jian is a very different beast compared to the Zhencha/Liu Xing. A Strawman is (from a quick Google): "A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man."" You're attacking the Su-Jian (your Strawman) because it's not a REM, when we're talking about these units being HI with no real HI advantages but with the main HI disadvantages. It's a Strawman because the Su-Jian doesn't have anything to do with the issue: it's not a REM because it's such a wildly different unit (from an in-universe perspective). It's specifically designed to be a very mobile unit (hence having a Mobility Form, which includes Kinematika L2, which shows it's intended to Dodge) - if it were to be a REM it would need to have a particularly high PH, much like how TAGs have a good Dodge chance even with the -6, to counteract the innate REM -3 penalty (otherwise Kinematika L2 would be a wasted skill). Further, the Su-Jian carries many of the same penalties of a REM through being an HI (eg, Hackable - it's affected by all of the same Offensive Programs, and while it gains the benefit of benefiting from Fairy Dust it loses access to Assisted Fire/Enhanced Reaction), with only the ability to go Prone being the major difference. Essentially, the difference between being a REM/HI for the Su-Jian is minimal. As Benkei said, I'd personally be totally fine with the Su-Jian being a REM - do you really want a Su-Jian that can have Marksmanship L2? Honest question, because that's essentially your point here: Su-Jian gets accessed to Assisted Fire in exchange for the Liu Xing/Zhencha becoming MI - I'd take that in a heartbeat too.
Sorry, I meant a unit which doesn't directly engage the enemy in a firefight, as a Daofei or Hac Tao might.
OK, fair enough. I'm honestly mostly OK with the Zhencha's profile, I was expecting it to be less than a Daofei anyway. But it really needs to be Shock Immune if it's only 1W. I think that would fix my issue with the Zhencha specifically. However, that doesn't fix the issue that the Daofei, "the Tactical Section of the Invincible Army," is somehow not in the Invincible Army lists.
Please, tell me how Climbing + will help me avoid that mine that's next to the console I need to activate. Because that's usually where mines are, next to objectives or at least able to hit anyone that gets to them.
I appreciate that; I guess I see it as a necessary evil for balancing what might otherwise complete classified objectives too easily, especially in an environment where they are intended to be challenging (hence the extreme deck).
