Wow didn't even notice that! If you're lucky it's a mistake like the AVA1 Bulleteer in ASA. But I wouldn't bet on it.
I, for one, can't see any synergy with an infiltrating, camo, climbing forward observer and the smart missile launcher that comes in a special fireteam. And, given the new Classifieds, being able to either scan or blow up buildings in the opposing DZ might come in handy...
I feel its a different kind of high tech. IA has the most widespread use of power armor, but it's frontline army. Sacrifices had to be made to get that kind of coverage, as evidence of the Zuyong. NCA is the defense force of Pan O's capital, one of the most secure places in the Sphere. They indulge in some expensive toys similar to how ISS does, because they can afford to.
To be fair this doesn't work in vanilla and could easily be done by giving the Daofei a FO option and putting it into IA too.
Daofei doesn't have the FO and isn't in IA however. Incidentally I feel that 1 W with NWI perfectly suits the light, mass produced power armour that is used for specialist tactical units in IA. Remember the whole point is to have an entire Army Group made up of Heavy Infantry, the ultimate example of Guderian's principles.
Just Repeaters, because that's what was mentioned. OK, I can look that up as well, but you said Repeaters, not Repeaters plus Hackers so that's what I looked up. I made no claims about the Interplanetario being an example of top play, for exactly those reasons, just that it's the only dataset that we have access to. EDIT - digging out the relevant types of Hackers from the data is trickier, but some random sampling shows a bunch of lists where the only Hacker was a Killer, EVO or White, an Avatar list with Repeaters but no Hackers (WTFBBQ?) etc. As a rough guesstimate, it's bumping the proportion of lists with multiple hacking ZoCs by about ten percentage points.
The Zencha has mines, also D-charges and is more mobile once depolyed, and has NWI Of course there will be overlap, but there are differences that serve to work with, for instance, the new classified deck - where being classified HI might just prove a bonus ;)
Apsaras has the Killer Hacker profile, so if the Daoying does have something extremely synergistic that gets disabled/removed in vanilla, let's hope it isn't as much a dud as Willy Wally in vanilla Ariadna. Like Benkei notes, that's what MI are there for. It wouldn't be so bad if they also got the "Not hackable" skill that Veteran Kazaks get, and it would make sense if they removed a lot of the clever life saving stuff to save on weight and only kept the servos that the suit is no longer hackable but can be disabled by E/M overload.
That's grasping at straws, to be honest. The only reason to use Zenchas at the moment is you can't use Guilangs; this could maybe change and I'm waiting for the rest of the sectorial to drop, but I'm not hyped at all. Who knows, maybe there is a magic errata and they forgot Immune to Shock for the Zencha, that would give them a niche over Guilangs and make them much better.
No, they obviously aren't, they're MI. They have HI like characteristics in terms of resilience and mobility due to ALEPH's access to high grade Lhosts for specialised assault teams. The Zhencha is hackable because it is a dude in power armour. The power armour grants w degree of resilience against incoming fire (which is why ARM and BTS 3), and keeps the soldier inside fighting (V: NWI) while retaining high mobility (MOV 4-4). All of which makes sense and is consistent, you just don't like your profile. Which is your right, even if I disagree.
Background-wise, the Zhencha and Liu Xing get their extra resilience from powered armour, while the Yadu gets it from being a high-end biological android.
Maybe. But, as it stands, the FO can complete 5/20 classifieds, compared with 3/20. And, when it comes to IA, I'm not sure sprinkling back doors to your hacking network all over the battlefield is that good an idea...
