Well, considering Acontecimento is the original home of the Montesas, I can imagine them looking over during joint exercises and saying, "ooooh... we like that... let's buy some!"
I’m happy that the Tik found a home in MO especially because I’m finishing painting my Tik this week, but the theme mismatch is kinda funky. Couldn’t they have pulled an Anaconda and given the Seraph an HMG? I won’t complain about Dart either because she is going to be rock solid and useful in MO. Besides I can overlook the theme mismatches if it means we get the hilariously good sectorial we have been given!
Heh, this hits just as I'm about to leave for a few days of mountain hiking. I'll miss a lot of hype ;) I like what I've seen so far. MO is certainly a winner, and VIRD will be awesome. #PanOCanHaveNiceThings, indeed. Wysłane z mojego Lenovo A6020a40 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Dart + TOFOOS + Koni + Peacemaker + FD1 BF Multi Rifle If the TOFOOS didn't change (can't imagine they would since they are so iconic), then MO has a super strong 1st turn midfield game. Dart is more of a force multiplier than just an addition.
For the Tik in MO: I assume it's the same reason that ALEPH units are in Acon: everyone's fighting together, so they've partnered up for the job. I imagine MO is doing a ton of fighting on Paradiso, so they're working closely with Tik squadrons to help get that done.
Kind of feels like Tikbalang should be in Varuna, thematically, and that MOs wouldn't get it, but hey nbd!
Wow. These changes went above and beyond anything that I expected. Combining Order Sergeants made sense, but reducing the cost on Hospitallers? Making Santiago some sort of wild card? Awesome. I'm especially interested in the FK and BF special link teams. Being able to add a Black Friar to OS gives us some really interesting and relatively cheap core links to pair with the Hospitaller Haris. In fact, the Haris seems like it's now essential. I'd have a hard time using my core on the Hospitallers when I can take this much cheaper with an HMG and Doctor.
I think it has more to do with the relative popularity of MO; there's a lot of MO players, now they'll buy Tikbalangs. Hospitalers were already direly undercosted compared to other HI, I'm kind of confused as to why their points got dropped further.
Hospitallers weren't undercosted. They were just barebone, read "no bloat". Other knights got more fancy toys that weren't making enough of a difference. Now, though... Wysłane z mojego Lenovo A6020a40 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Not sure I would agree with "direly undercosted", I think they were just about right, but the two point drop in price is pretty surprising. Also note they removed all the AP CCW options, with is a good thing, IMHO, one less thing to try to remember when using the models.
That difference in price is a result of the "Frenzy" discount, which probably should not be as good as it is. While it's true, once they've killed something, they can't use cover, which is huge, I often find it doesn't matter that much. First it kicks in on the second or third turn. Second, I find that myself, and my opponents tend to forget about it, making it an easily thing to overlook.
It also turns off in a fireteam. It's part of why Hospitalers and Riot Grrls are so undercosted, and Hospitalers just got *another* points discount. Basically, it comes off as chicanery and CB gaming their own points system.
