I don't see a problem, it is rarely read in the context you described.
The Spanish "Invincible Armada" is usually translated as 無敵艦隊, so it is not without precedent.
常勝軍 was fine too and has a nice historical connection, but "Ever-Victorious" does feel too wordy in English.

The Yan Huo needed to be S5 to handle TAG-sized weapons, it needed the mass to handle the recoil of the HRMC (and carry the power supply!). I assume that the MultiHMG and 2xML just took advantage of the existing chassis.

I'm not sure what the Mowang's excuse is for being S5. You can get ARM5 BTS6 on a S2 chassis, the Hac Tao does.

Think I heard somewhere the Mowang is meant to be the actual YJ finished production model of the Dayokai. The Dayokai I think was also meant to finish up at S2 but didn't due to resource constraints and uprising so I'll be interested to see what the YJ production run is meant to be, maybe ARM 6 and some funky stuff to give it an edge on S2 armour patterns

I still stand with my guess/hope that it's Camouflage and Full-Auto, and that this is the reason they really, really, really don't want Suppression to stack on top of that as well.

Cheaper for mass production would be a good reason.

I kinda want the Mowang to be cheap-as-shit like the Blackjack.

Not gonna happen, but I would like that.

I think I'm actually the source for the S2 'perfected' Daiyokai idea, in one of the Uprising threads. ARM5 BTS6 can be done on an S2 platform (Hac Tao/Swiss Guard), so I was thinking that the benchmarks of the Kikuchiyo Program that the Daiyokai didn't make were size/weight. I mean, you think a Domaru is bad news at ARM3, imagine a Domaru with ARM5 (or a Hac Tao with CC23 MA3 Berserk)!

Pretty sure someone else came up with the idea for the Mowang being the Chinese version of the Daiyokai, but it makes some sense. After all, the Secessionists were forced to leave the prototype behind.

It could be a Zuyong equivalent of the Yan Huo. Cheap, quick to manufacture, almost bare bones. I'd like that too.

Considering the points cost formula, the S5 HI are like TAGs where they benefit immensely from special skills and equipment while having a high baseline cost.
A Yan Huo with a Combi Rifle is likely in the mid 30s, with my best guesstimate being 39 points. Considering the massive pain in the ass it is to hide these things, that isn't very attractive.

Sorry, no. Even if I had I wouldn't be allowed to share it. The exact cost of an MHMG is mostly guesswork on my part using the simple deduction that all Multi weapons so far are +4 points over their standard counter part (or close to it), but the point stand that the Yan Huo has most of the undesirable traits you can have in Infinity which are mitigated only mostly by also having access to a really rare weapons.

Is the Spec Ops xp cost to points close?

    Not even remotely :p

A multisniper (6XP) is 8 points costlier than a Combi and the same price as an HMG (8XP) while a Boarding Shotgun (2XP) is 1 point cheaper than Combi. Doctor and Engineer are 4 each while a Hacking Device is 8 points (all 3 being 2XP each). Cubes (1XP) is free and so is Cube+ (3XP) though for a Spec Ops in a campaign both of these actually matter a lot. Automedikit costs fewer points than the 6XP you have to fork out and while AP CCW does seem to cost 1pts to upgrade from a Knife, an EXP weapon is more expensive than that yet both have the same XP cost.

So... they're all over the place is what I'm saying, I guess :)

(Btw all prices I've listed are easily checked on mainly Zhanshi or Zuyong profiles, so it's not really revealing much)

I guess I was trying to figure out if there was any consistency between spec ops and guessing based off of profiles like Zhanshi. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though.
