I guess W2 in the only reason. Mimetism is nice and usually better, but sometimes you have to deal with MSV and a second wound can be useful
I am pretty angry about removing Knights of Montessa altogether, feels like it happened for no good reason. I enjoyed using that profile.
Bagh Mari are BS12. Obviously mimetism is I think almost better than a +2BS but on the other hand +2BS cannot be countered by MSV :) Plus its probably all about this 2nd wound.
Well actually what Yu-Jing is bitching atm. is their new "1.5W" infiltration HI, while the PanO forums are quite calm about losing their (only) "infiltrating" HI. I just wished that the biker had a bit more indirect "umpf" (Multirerratin ? Engineer?).
Straight buffs across the board, although there was zero creativity behind the changes. Baghs still pay 4 points for a LSG, which is weird. Joke's on CB Baghs Fireteams are deader than Toni with Orcs and Baghs being able to join Regulars.... The Regular Sapper also seems quite dead to me. A Forward Deployment, MSV1, Minelayer Sniper who keeps his Mimetism after moving seems straight up better under almost every circumstance.
I have the same thoughts. Also, core/harris of baghmaris is much less appealing now since we can take two SWC weapons to much cheaper regulars link. The only downside of Baghmari sniper, when compared to Regular sapper, is his vulnerability to white-noise but still whenever I will not be desperately needing those 6 pts, I can live with that and getting so much more from the model.
Sapper also lets you deploy in locations where you usually wouldn't get cover, so it's not completely superceded by the BM. Also, BMs joining Regulars and ORC joining Regulars are listed as two separate Special Fireteams, is it possible to do both?
I seriously wonder if it is the full extent of changes meant in the update. After all, no post-Uprising skill or equipment seems to have made it into the sectorial.
Full Deva availability for NCA looks new to me, I don't remember them getting the OSS units before now.
Yeah, with the new wording on the Wiki saying they can join ANY Fireteam Core it's obvious they can do both.
Mixed link will be the new hotness of course. I was regularly taking a pile of Regulars and 1-2 HMG Bagh Mari anyway. This will basically be a straight upgrade, with me finding the points to scrub out the Sapper Sniper(s) for the nice improvement to Bagh Mari Snipers. Sapper's certainly pleasant, but I think I'm totally willing to pay the upgrade for MSV1, constant Mimetism, minelayer. Even the ARM is a nice perk, considering how often I want my Sniper to fall Unconscious and stay in the game.
Also, it's nice to know that the decreased AVA on bots like the Bulleteers and Mulebots was a typo. They still have the normal AVA in updated army.
