@gamma ray ran a preta spam at a recent tournament... I think it was 5 combat groups... I think he has a hatred of the phrase "ARO dodge" now
Oh, that is a purely theoretical list. I am not nearly enough of a Masochist or a Sadist to ever try to put that on a table.
40 Gakis, plus 10 regular orders I think you'll find... :P It was an interesting day. I deployed second each time, deploying quicker than my opponents.
Place important figures first, then space everything else out so that explosions aren't too much of a risk!
Call me "madmen", but I think the point of the question isn't to combat fire with fire, instead of combat the spamer with a more regular list... XD
I had 16 Hungries available to use, but the rest were just any S2 human I could get my hands on! (I shall stop talking about it in this thread, I'm aware it's a bit off topic...)
Maybe they are some design problems, I really think that exists a few, but not too many to say "the solution against a spam list is another spam list". Some players wrote some options, wich can defeat the original spam list posted, without become itself a spam list. So, no problems in the rules here.
I consider point costs to be part of the rules, as everyone must abide by them. Camo is undervalued as it stands, armour is overvalued, and the impact of crits becomes more pronounced vs higher arm levels. Having more orders to throw at a problem is the most expedient solution, and currently more orders means more minis. This is why LT L2, NCO, tactical sense etc are all steps in the right direction. Given what you said I could then ask you why these skills are being introduced if there was not an issue with spam being the easiest way to play? :)
Sorry for the delay. Yes, I'am agree with points are part of the rules. All the game are part of it. Nobody says something against that. Yes, us, players will get new habilities in order to "put more orders" in reduce combat groups, and it is Ok, and the intention could be correct a deviation few orders against more orders. I say that you don't need necessarily play a spam list against a spam list. It isn't the same that say "it isn't an issue. But more important: It looks like if we forget sometimes that Infinity has a really really significant matter: scenography. It is here where the point can be found. If the table has not too much cover probably one TAG could easily take down whatever spam you are playing with. I could play 30 acontecimento regulars, that is 300 points against a list with an Avatar and only 10 orders and probably I will loose. So, the spam is not an issue. You say it, the problem resides maybe not in the spam, otherwise in the critical hit system? If we can say that "is an issue" and not a rule, which the players must work.
Spam isnt equal to another spam. Caledonian 6 pts volounters spam wont work as well as caledonian 6 pts galvagians spam. So... 30 regulars as idea of spam list isnt good example.
Yeah, I'am aware of it. I was only trying to make the point if we could make almost any spam list we can make say "Infinityt have a problem with spam lists against not spam", but it isn't the case, we can talk about some profiles or some kind of lists, but not all of it, and that is important in order to know if the game is, or not, well balanced (No one is saying that the system is perfect, ¿ok? Are a lots of things which can be improved).
