Those were the only profiles I ever saw anyone take, the others may as well have never existed. The ~50 point HI gunfighter role is Guarda territory, and while starting in the good range of the spitfire is nice, eclipse smoke is better. (god keeping clear which thread I'm writing is is hard tonight, this is the MO one... was thinking SAA)
I know. They could have included one or both Launchers on the bike rework since Ariadna has done this and they are very low-tech compared to PanO. I'll be looking forward to seeing what PanO is going to get during this week but it does make me pause and say "Why didn't they (CB) include these most used profiles in some fashion?"
At least this time each of these threads is nominally about a different sectorial. Also it beats having 3-4 simultaneous threads with nothing but complaining and salt mining :P
I think it will be interesting to see what othee changes MO sees, how the montesa will meld there and how the loss of the spitfire will affect them.
Wait wait... What? We lose the regular Montesa Knight on foot? Not that I ever used it. But I always thought we would have both versions with and without bike. Also, the classic Montesa miniature seems almost pointless then...
Sorta. The new profiles have different weapons: MULTI Rifle and Boarding Shotgun, instead of Combi + LGL.
It is only usable as a proxy now. This is a terrible mistake by CB which sends a very bad message about how they will handle Out Of Production lines.
How so? As you mentioned, it’s going out of production, why not revamp the profile so that it fills more needs in more armies? The current standard minis folks have are easily used as proxies, either for dismounted profiles or as other orders, such as Father Knights. Yes, someone who has invested time in converting or kitbashing is out, but in general the minis still have uses and aren’t just glorified paperweights.
You don't see any issue with promising that people will be able to keep playing their army "with some upgrades" and then deleting an entire profile and invalidating existing models? Hunh.
I agree it sets a bad precedent... im hoping they are trolling and we get to keep both, but it is a baseless hope

Nope. I've high hopes for the MO rework. I imagine (even before profile changes) some very tasty Fireteam options, be they mixed, or Haris, or what have you.
When it's a pair of models that have been re-homed, no, I don't. And this is one of what CB sees as one of those "some upgrades". So, again, no I don't. Saying you don't like it? Peachy. Saying it sends "a very bad message"? Pull the other one, it's got bells on.
Honestly, if all they do is drop the price of the Order Sgts, and allow Spec Sgts in OS links I'd be fine with it. Icing would be improvements to the Teutons.
Absolutely, i even fear we might lose some options like morats did. Supposedly teutons are going to become more interesting, so i have some mild remaining hope in a rework there. Hell cc 23 and eclipse smoke and id sing cbs praises low and high, even without all the other inspired cqb changes they could receive.
We just got a bike with no smoke and no capable weapons beyond 16. You are dreaming if you think tuetons are getting eclipse
