This is great news! My birthday and November can't come soon enough. Thank you for posting this @paraelix.
One of the other big quality of life improvements... give Vanguard back the MSR option. K1 snipers are the dumbest thing in the universe.
yes, correct. And also mentioned that if you have 2 groups with say, 10 and 5, often you're exactly 1-2 orders short in that first combat group if you go first and opponent used his command token.
So... That Libertos That just made Vanilla CA camo more interesting. Also I've not seen the video with Audio yet but the image implied suryats with an extra irregular order.
I am not sure about the usefulness of tactical sense aka extra order on Surryats. In vanilla that won't make them solo attack piece since there are far more better options, while in the sectorial you cannot activate fire teams with an irregular order. I have mixed feelings about it but we need to see more details.
The biggest indicator of its power will be which profiles get it (assuming not all will), and how much it costs. Suryats are decent solo gunfighters, and at a minimum its putting them on Suppression Fire for free and still having the Regular order to spend on a link. But I expect this skill will be attached to the HMG and maybe Heavy Rocket Launcher profile and cost 4-5 points, which will push the already expensive Suryat beyond reasonable price (barring no other changes/re-balancing to the profile). If it is on every profile, even at no cost, it makes Suryat links unappealing because each Suryat in the link is a lost order.
Well, probably we will see later this week. Koni said that they have more videos for whole week, so we can hope one of the videos will contain info about CA and MAF.
Actually, HMG lieutenant datatracker Suryat in vanilla could have 4 orders for itself is some missions - that is nice for solo piece but like said @Philamilapeed we need to know which profile will get this skill.
One thing that was brought up to me regarding tactical sense: if you use it on a linked model, you can drop into supressive fire. If that model was not the link leader, the link stays formed and the model in supressive may rejoin it for free at the beginning of your next turn. It's basically an evolution of the usual coordinated supressive order that is used with some links already.
Ah, that's a shame. He must have misunderstood the ruling. It still needs one less command token and no regular orders to do the 'drop everyone into supression then reform the link later' trick.
As far as I knew, you can: -Spend each suryat's irregular order to drop into supressive at the end of your turn; -then at the beginning of the next turn you pay a command token to reform the link, breaking the models off supression when you do that. That's legal, right?
If Suryat's are getting an extra order do the Sogarat's get something other than a kick in the balls?
I doubt all suryats will have the extra irregular order. I assume it will be like with alephs NCO and only the HMG guy gets it.
