In fact the main reason of the interest of EI in Human Sphere is that we have a T'zechi digester and they want it (a digester manipulated by Tohaa Triumvirate BTW). What does that have to do with them being communist? There isn't any notion in the lore that I found that Yu Jing is even pretending to be Communist (like modern day PRC is), much less that it is Communist. And having an Emperor, even if it is only for court duties, goes quite heavily against the principle there.
Cause it's not problematic to show the symbol of an ideologi that has killed several hundred million people, second only to the Black Death in terms of wiping out human lives on a global scale. I mean, at least they weren't racists amirite? (except literally every single socialist countries executed black people and homosexuals but hey, at least they weren't nazis!).
Isn't it implied by the fact that the party which is leading Yu jing is the heir of Chinese communist party ? Also I remember the fluff saying that the difference of wealth between the poor and the rich is much lower in Yu Jing than it is in any other major power of the human sphere (even if the average wealth is higher for Pano citizen. Rich a richer and poor are poorer). As for the use of Red star ... serioulsy ? This is a Sci-Fi universe. You would forbid the use of any Communist symbol in any Sci Fi book, movie, video game or art ? Even in universes where it clearly is not glorified ? You may wish so, but it's clearly a very narrow understanding of freedom of speech (and would go against both US constitution and European Convention on Human Rights). And even if it was in a realistic wargame, what is the issue as long as the universe is not used as a medium to promote this kind of ideology ? And you can't say that CB is trying to portray Yu Jing as the good guys while everybody else would be portraied as evil.

Let's hide the star-spangled banner, the tricolour, the Dutch flag*, the Bundesrepublik iconography, all yellow stars on red background, any and all stylized eagles, outlaw nearly all religious symbols, and so many more.
