[QUO="hydra, post: 158406, member: 589"]I put them all in google fotos. Once you know how to get the right link to post here (right klick, not the link provided by google ;) )[/QUOTE] thx for the info: I've just reupload all the stuff ^^ and a new group shot for TRIUMcorp:
mmmh the link from google photo doesn't seem to work, another: Can you see both picture without having a google account log in ?
Color wheel suggests orange against the blue, not pink, but I'm using blue glow on red&white models (where color wheel would suggest green glow) It's certainly bright enough to work. Not sure. JSA is getting most of their heavy weapons from PanO now, but everyone and their mom has a license to make YJ combirifles and pistols. The ML is PanO, but I think the Contender is a YJ weapon (since that's basically a civilian rifle anyway, doesn't much matter). But PanO's 'panzerfaust' is a big noob-tube now, not like the tiny weapons that used to be on the Magisters or Teutons. Or the tiny Blitzen that was on the old Haramaki.
yeah actually that pink is more or less orange without yellow, the yellow is used in my other Ikari troops as dark sand cloth in IL/IM mini but for this ILO that have no cloth its lacking yellow hue. To be honest I don't care mutch about color wheel for gaming minis I hope the flammenspear is NOT a civilian weapon xD but for sure the contender is YJ built as for the blitzen, it look like PanO handle rond thingy but I'm not sure, the thing is Pano do not use blitzen so why build some ?
I use a mix of color wheel and Heraldic rules. Color wheel for base colors and/or spot colors (especially to choose glow colors for maximum pop), heraldic rules for the highlights. Heraldic rules say that Yellow and White are metals (gold and silver, respectively), every other solid color is a Color. There are two patterns that are considered furs, ermine (mostly white with small black spots) and vair (blue-gray and cream in equal size roughly triangular patches). You never put a metal on a metal, a color on a color, or a fur on a fur. What this means is that if you have a green highlighted up to a yellow and a gray highlighted up to a white, you need to put a black line between them or otherwise leave some space between. Well, a Blitzen is basically a Panzerfaust with a massively-powerful capacitor in place of the explosive warhead.
Warning! Photodump incoming xD The logo is still not great and I'm not sure about the pink triangle for LoS
Great stuff! A really inspiring painting and modelling blog. It reminds me to think of each model as an individual character!
Jingasa hat .. Edo times reference .. i stil do not know if i like it or not i dig the colours .. they are caind of like some ppl would say my colours :P gottime when i go for this exact combo quite hard on my nomads .. and in Confrontacion
yeah it's quite minimalistic for a color scheme, I guess I'm an "less is more guy" :p So I've made this unit logo: But I cant find the kanji for "tanko" to put them on it if someone could copy paste them for me here it would be great :p you can find them below: 有難うございます。 btw what is the translation for zenseibutai ?
@Sangarn The Al Hawwa seem to fit perfectly in with the Butai. They do make good Brawlers. Any chance on getting the Hacker model for the other loadouts?
@Golem2God Yeah I have both (new packaging), not sure if I'm going to convert it into a doctor or as a hacker, but I have already the limited druze hacker for this role. And in ikari the doctor profile is suppose to be an japanese so I don't know... the thing is brawlers are not very good (except the sniper VMS2) so for now I'm not using a lot of profiles
Very nice execution of painting skills on the tanko. I think you have improved a lot with him. But the pink triangle is indeed a bit "nah" as it steals the focus from the miniature.
