The main difference would be that one is totalitarian including its foundation, second is totalitarian in its execution (pun noted, but not intended :P) You can't argue for the idea of master race without allowing for genocide, while you can discuss social justice without it. The dissonance between treating both regimes in popular culture can be jarring, though.
Mk4 HRL is better for my liking... ARM 5 means 8 against enemy fire in cover, has 2 real wounds (so no shock vulnerability) and the Fire template is much more scary against certain enemies (like the people deploying their Extremely Impetuous troops close to their heavy hitters like the Su Jian or the Charontid...). Also, releases the mk2 for AHD+BSG duty...
Oh, old good V II ech... Apparently even US military has higher regard to Tradition. Also apparently capybaras also are not breaking friday lent ;P
Depends on the theorist. But we can discuss equality and welfare state without devolving to that level. You can't do that with national chauvinism. Additional problem - on both main sides of this debate - is ignoring the complexity of specific situations and simply going with their tribal allegiance. But that's another matter. Speaking of which, we're going to derail the topic with this discussion. Let's take it to a dedicated thread or PMs.
It's CB fault. They gave us a great promise (of Third Offensive), and no exact information so in our drugs-hunger everyone derailed into heavy and dark parts of offtopic. Last remark on the offtopic: well tribal civial war seems as current only plausable resolution, question is will be triggered because of resources gettting scarce or in order to secure said resources (before other tribes do so).
I'm seriously interested about this subject in Spanish law. Here in Poland we have a law against dissemination of Nazi and communist symbols in non-historical context and if someone comes to a tournament/public club with a Nazi 40k Imperial Guard or even WW2 Germans with swastikas pasted on everywhere as opposed to historically correct placement, they'll likely be denied and told to come back when they repaint it. Not only because muh nazism (good luck getting sympathy from someone who's had their grandparents murdered in WW2 though), but also because otherwise such an event runs a non-trivial risk of being denied accommodation next time.
There are a whole lot of people who are too dumb to be animals (not talking about your dad's wife here of course). The distinction between animals and plants is coming from biology, and you are way in animal territory when some kind of intelligence shows up.
Maybe the rest of the world is not aware of that but... fact is during these 40 years of democracy we still keep the embalmed remains of dictator Francisco Franco. Comfortably buried in the pharaonical funerary complex called El Valle de Los Caidos ( Valley of Fallen ) , where he buried himself alongside the remains of 35000 yet unidentified republican prisioners of war, the losing side of Spanish Civil War; who were enslaved and used to build that pharaonical tomb and died in the process. Furthermore there's a foundation with the name of the dictator (Francisco Franco's foundation ) which gets public funds from the state (and thus from my own money) . And neither the spanish flag with the eagle, that symbolizes the Spain under the dictatorship, nor publicly praising Franco's regime are punished by law. In that sense we are the shame of Europe. Even now the recent efforts of current president Pedro Sanchez in order to pull out a law to get dictator's remains out of such a morbid funerary monument find the opposition of the conservative parties. Anyway, in Spain fascist symbologies (such as Nazi swastika) are not punished by law as long as there's no incitement to violence (althought it maybe severely critisized and punished by society but not by laws) . A symbol or flag is just that, a material thing. What law punishes is hate and violence, but a symbol is just a picture.
The core of original Marxist theory goes that private ownership of the means of production results in exploitation of the workers, as they're the ones that do all the work, while receiving only part of the profits. Therefore, collective, common (hence "communism") ownership of those means will result in more just profit distribution. There are many problems with this theory, both on theorerical and practical level. And I'm saying this as a leftist.
I may be wrong, but sadly i consider that humanity as failed in communism, and not the contrary (you know, all that "power corrupt, absolute power corrupt absolutely" thing...)
I'd personally go with the "guideline" that you're better off steering clear of posting iconography belonging to any regime or ideology that gleefully murdered millions in pursuit of its goals. And that includes the Imperium of Man you monsters!
At its core, communism is about equality and social justice, just like fascism is about economic improvement and national unity
The Francisco Franco Memorial foundation is publicly funded.* I think that says enough about how fascist anand nazi symbols are viewed under Spanish law. *Unlethes the current government stops it. Which they may, they are currently trying to tick Franco out of his pharaonic tomb monument of glory.
