Corvus Belli themselves today advertised it on Twitter/Facebook with the following: They also retweeted BoW's posting of the forthcoming book also saying: Can't speak for anyone else, but no intention of preordering the book without having a damned good inkling of what's in it.
I feel that way now. Realistically, ima end up preordering eventually. Just a matter of time, hype and bourbon.
After the ass-tastic fluff in Uprising, it'd take one hell of a pre-order mini to get me to consider the idea.
This + no intention of preordering at all if I don't get a garanty I won't receive my preorder after store release and/or if I don't get some bonus for preordering (exclusive mini/ITS card/picture/anything...)
Because CB ships the distributer (FLGS) preorders before individual pre orders (as they always have), there is a very high chance that ordering direct will mean you will see it after the distributer (FLGS) preorders are on the shelves. Those copies will have the pre-order mini (unless a distributor decides to keep them... happened before) The general release however (the one without the bonus figure) will come after individuals receive their preorders. The main reason to ship direct from CB is for the event minis (like the advanced gencon release pack and dart) NOT for the pre-orders. This is actually a good thing, because by doing this CB encourages FLGS purchases which in turn means more money for the FLGS and they can keep existing.
Then please share as much as you can as soon as you can. Because I'm serious about maybe not buying this book at all unless someone can convince me that the fluff is much better than Uprising.
Sorry, NDA and all that, and i don't even know everything that's inside, but AFAIK it's gonna be a much more interesting book than uprising was.
To be fair, I knew a few FLGS that ordered bulk Dart/Advance packs ;) I don't think it made too much difference in price in the end if you accounted for shipping etc. individually
You know what we are tempted to do to our Warcors for doing this in France, aren't you? You're lucky to not now that much because you would be on the list otherwise. To come back to the banner : I was pretty amused to see Yu-Jing comming back to the good old patriotic banner for propaganda. I though the Party would have invested more in the communication with the time being. PanO pictures are way more inspiring to my opinion than this one.
"I'm okay to order, I know what's there!" "So what's there?" "NDA sorry can't say anything!" Good for you, but don't post if you can't say anything. It's "I know something you don't know" childish levels of garbage.
Retro-futuristic national romanticism can be a very powerful tool. Imagine the Yu Jing version being multi-layered like the Xcom 2 propaganda posters, projected on holo-ads.
So basicly exactly the thing The Party is doing right now IRL ? (in terms of media, games, books etc.)
