Sometimes in life, something will happen that will make you utter that popular, three-word phrase of exasperated incredulity.
And now that we're on a new forum I think it's time to share some new stories!

To start the ball rolling, one of my players from our biweekly RPG session had one to share...

The player works as a programmer and his co-workers often share tech-related jokes over social meedja.
Recently, one of his pals created his own questionnaire meme of the "What's your (x) name?" format.
You know the ones - What's your porn star name? What's your Star Wars name? That sort of thing.
What he created was very blunt and sarcastic - What's your Hacker name?
To find out, you had to answer these two questions:

Pt1: What's the colour of your shirt?
    Pt2: What's your Facebook password?

    Yeah, obvious joke.
My player responded with "Wow, when I answer Pt2 I just get a load of * ! Does this happen to anyone else?!"
Obviously sarcastic response, right? At least, that's what we thought...

As a reply to that post, someone decided to test it and actually went and posted their god-damn Facebook password.

So tell me, dear readers, what has made you say "W tee Eff?!" lately?

    The terms are thus:
It has to have been something that genuinely happened in real life; an event or someone has said or done something with the utmost sincerity that generates a WtF response.
Videos and images specifically designed to illicit such a response (like surreal artwork or horror movies) do not count!
Politics likewise do not count! - we've already got most of the internet huffing and puffing about whatever politician said whatever and we don't need it here.

Most of Raging Heroes' Lust elves line makes me WTF a lot... I recently saw one "render" of a pile of corpses with a lady on top using some Dr Octopus-like waldoes to pick a body and caress its head... or the "legs" the centauress has... (bodies linked through the torso to the centaur--body).

Fortunately, I lost my last SANity point a long time ago, but some things can keep me arching my brow every now and then :p

Rough transcript of my side of a recent call I made to Her Maj's Rev and Customs:

Hello, I'd like to pay some back taxes I apparently owe.

No you can't take it out of PAYE, I moved somewhere that doesn't have PAYE (or any form of personal income tax)

No, I don't have a chequebook as this is not the past.

A bankers draft? I'd have to go into a UK bank for that wouldn't I? Small problem, I'm no longer living in the UK and flying across the Atlantic to pay £80 of tax seems a bit extravagant.

Postal order? I'd have to go into a Post Office branch for that right? Yes? Yes I agree that is a problem for me.

Those are my only payment options?

Oh... we might have a problem here!

Nah, I'm used to giant wereshewolves. I used to play one in Rage Across the Amazons, and then there were the Black Furies...

The Lust Elves are into Tzimisce / Kingdom Death levels XD

Either that or next time you're on the phone to them, play the "Freedom!" section from Iron Maiden's The Clansman down the line.

[Marge]Hmmmmmmmmm....[/Marge] I'd say this falls firmly in the category of "deliberate", so doesn't really count.

On a similar note, which I think I mentioned in the old thread but as that's gone I may as well post it again here, back when we had a flourishing, local Games Workshop they did have a very eclectic taste in music.
One such song they played was Feel Like Making Love by Bad Company, the extended version with all the sex noises.
They were very lucky the parents of this shop full of 12-year olds never noticed.

I also once managed to get away with playing the Orgasmo theme through their speakers from my Minidisc player. (Shows how long ago that was!)

So, to put this in context, my Day (Or in my case, Night) job is a correctional officer for Texas. So, with this in mind...I get a lot of these moments at work, so of course I'll be generalizing and generally using the more...SFW versions of the stories that I have.

Observed while working the minimum housing area..

Offender #1: Look, dude, you can't hit the Pigeon with your shoe.

Offender #2: I can to, I need a fuckin' Pigeon to race.

Offender #1: Just lure one into your cell with bread, like everyone else.

Offender #2: Nah, that only gets fat fat pigeons that can't fly. I need a mean one. *Proceeds to chuck shoe at Pigeon that is trying to spend its day in the I-beams of the 2 story offender housing area...misses and proceeds to get knocked out by his own shoe.*

Offender #1: I told your dumbass.

    Yaay its back!

So I just found out today that unbeknownst to any of us my mother's been working with an old college friend of mine for the past three-ish years. apparently my friend was somehow tipped off by my last birthday notification on the Facebooks, not the pictures my mother keeps at her desk, or our very similar sense of humor, or my rather rare first name being one of her sons... took three years, so what I've learned is i need to keep better track of my friends.

A bit of a WTF was when I started seeing people talking to invisible users on this forum.
Then I realized that activity in the forum was running impressibly low.

Finally I realized that the Ignore function eliminates all traces of your target, and ignoring all the content-less spammers basically killed the forum.

    It is quite nice.

At first, I was kind of bummed at how few of people seemed to migrate, but after a bunch of people who constantly shat up the forum never appeared, I was more than happy.
