What to paint for Invincible Army

I like your optimism about the IA hitting in January :D

Zuyong and Han Huo would be a good start.

 

Yan Huo. Those badboys will be in IA for sure, and they are badass looking models.

 

Yeah, totally the Yan Huos. It's time for our already pretty shiny artillery bois to shine some more.

 

Yan huo, zuyong, tiger soldiers and most remotes. Zhanshi and their doc/engineer counterpart should probably be there too.

 

I would maybe hold off on the Zhanshi, since I still feel it's a bit too early to call for their pressence, even as doctors and engineers, since the Hai Dao seems to be taking the doc and engineer roles as well.

That being said... I'd guess most YJ players have a trio of Zhanshis laying about, so I see no harm in painting them up.

 

i'd definitely not take the SWC box for zhanshi, but they'll probably fit in like fusillier do in military order: AVA 3 + doc/engie, just so they can have cheap orders.

But yeah better stick to zuyong/yan huo/tiger soldiers just in case.

 

I'm still doubtful on the doc/engie.
I suspect the new Hai Dao HI will take that role in IA, alongside some other roles.

 

The new Zhanshi Gongcheng model was in one of the art pieces fitting their gear, so they'll probably be in IA.

Hac Tao is also depicted on the "cover" so it should be a safe bet.

I think you'd be okay with the Zuyong, Guijia, Yan Huo, Hac Tao, and Zhanshi.

 

Zuyong (HMG and Multirifle) and Yan Huo (HRMC and 2xML) definitely.
all the remotes. Magnetize weapons for the basic Yaokongs, but you will probably want 2x boxes even then. Yaopu baggagebots and Yaoxie (Rui Shi and Lu Duan).
Guijia.
Maybe Hac Tao (HMG and hacker).

But that's all I'd do for now. We're not entirely sure what other existing models will be included, not even sure about the Zanshi Doc and Engineer.

 

Or do you hold out for the resculpts? Given we know Aleph are getting them in... October? And Haqq were previewed... Would be amazing if they just churn out 1 box of resculpted REMs a month until all factions are done.

 

Well, the Aleph REMs are Combatbots like the Yaoxie, Armbots, and Sputniks.

I think that Haqq are getting new basic REMs because the chickenbots don't make a good S3 silhouette. I will admit that the new Haqq bots are very tempting, however. Might use them for my JSA.

 

The release schedule said "Rebots" - which are the baseline bots (Zayin, Samekh, Daleth, Lamedh Rebots). Aleph doesn't presently have any 55mm based combat bots (until Rudras comes out).

 

I doubt the Baggae/EVO, Lu Duan and Rui Shi will be re-done soon. I can understand for the others though.

 

Not saying you are wrong, but where and when was this information / confirmation?

 

The october release is the rebots, the combat bot (rudras) is coming in the beyond cold front box - maybe november
