(0 | 4) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I've only ever played Aleph in 200 pts games before, but I'm finding myself drawn to the enormous evil that is the Avatar. Would it work? What can I proxy the rather ugly Combined drones with? Will I ever have enough muscles to actually be able to carry the Avatar without getting a Hernia?
If i were you, i would use some cheeky fucker unit, like speculo or ko dali. If you use bots only, kurgat engi is OK for you. HD legate is ok, but dirty expensive and you will cry if a simple khd kills him with shock. Pick a nexus -7 with khd and white noise + pitcher to cover huge godzilla :) Your main point is to let your enemy focus on avatar until you reveal a ko dali next to his drop zone ;)
I'll second the speculo or ko dali. You need something that can mess up your opponent in his own lines because you DO NOT want to have to run your avatar over there. He likes to stay at arms reach
Thanks guys! I didn't realize Kerr-Nau had White Noice, that solves some points issues :-) I'll go back to the drawing board then and try to fit in a Speculo. Not too fond of the miniature, but the advantage is that it can be proxied by ... anything, I guess.

I like to use the Overdron with the Avatar. The Overdron with its Albedo can clear out any visors on its first turn to make it easier for the Avatar.
Thanks man, that looks cool. How could I forget an E-drone :-D That is a ... scary proposition. Gives the Avatar a durable body to download into if it goes down as well. How do you get any points over for orders?
I don't think you can download into an Overdron as it doesn't have a cube or g:autotool. Happy to be corrected though. This is my current favourite avatar list. Absolutely savage but you do need to have a handle on how to play it. This is my Avatar tested tournament list. It has almost all you need. Backup HMG with marksmanship, overclocked bots, repeater net with killer hacker, link breaking program, white noise, specialists, sensor. You don't really want or need doctor/engineer. The are no orders for that and if Avatar falls unconcious, he has to die anyway, if you want to use mnemonica. Very true. One way to make the above list into a ten order uses an Imetron but it seems to be good.
