I was told the strangest tale, yesterday, about some good ol' fashioned, Glasgow football-based sectarianism.
It was a friend of mine recanting a tale from the autobiography of a journalist investigating said topic.
The journalist was invited round to the house of a family very much on the Rangers side of the Rangers/Celtic divide, and they owned an Alsatian named "Sontoo" (for whatever reason).
For a bit of fun, the family offered the journalist to ask Sontoo for his "Celtic paw." He did so, and Sontoo growled.
They asked him to do it again, so again he asked for "Celtic paw," and Sontoo growled louder. He didn't want to ask a third time.
So then they suggested he ask for Sontoo's "Rangers paw.". The result this time was that the dog happily shook hands with the journalist.
At this the journalist was thinking, "Hooookay, that's a bit strange...". Then he looked at the walls.
The family had a collection of framed photographs of Sontoo in full Orange Walk regalia.

The pink himalayan salt, thousands of years old, that will expire in a few months/years disagree.

As for the sugar, sugar never lasts, which is why it never expires. If you don't eat it, insects will XD

And honey ! Although it is mandatory to have an expiration date, honey is virtually eternal.

I think I read somewhere that they found a jar of honey in Tutankhamen's tomb that was still edible.

The thousand dollar iPhone X doesn't come with the little bent paperclip to open the SIM slot.

The nearly as expensive Samsung S9+ uses the same slot for a second SIM or Micro SD card, meaning you can't have 2 SIMs and an SD card.

But both can turn your face into a poo emoji...

The mobile phone market has gone legitimately nuts!

    Newer cell phones suck

I've had my trusty Note 4 for almost 4 years now.

Granted, it's a horrid frankensteinish amalgam of aftermarket parts and soldering wire that weighs as much as 3 regular phones but it does what it needs to do and the battery lasts 3 days (or 1 day of literally 100% uptime)

And they keep adding features no one asked for while trying to kill ones we do want.

The battery isn't user replaceable, but you can sign in with your noggin!

    Seriously lost the plot.

It's sad when my 2 year old J7 is more functional than most flagship Androids, and iPhones are a non starter as they're still all single SIM only.

Not much use for a dual-sim myself, but even less use for an iPhone :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. And just because I don't use it doesn't mean it's not a common and popular feature. Guess Apple just want to focus on forcing you to use (insecure) Bluetooth headphones that you can easily lose without buying another $30 bit of string to tie them together!

I need a work mobile as I'm frequently away from my desk or on call, being able to use one handset for work and personal rather than carrying around 2 separate phones is a godsend.

This morning, while driving to work, I spot someone having a very bad day, indeed.

Part of my journey takes me along an expressway, where the speed limit is 60mph. You're allowed +10% for the purposes of overtaking, etc, but today everyone is on their best behaviour since there's a cop car on the road. As a result, everyone is ambling along, in a line behind the cop car, doing exactly 60mph.
After a few minutes of this, the cop car indicates it's leaving the expressway at the next exit slip road.
It pulls off, and almost immediately, narrowly avoids a head-on collision with someone driving the wrong way.
If anything it's just as well this happened - if that guy actually managed to accelerate to join the expressway, facing into a line of 60mph traffic, the results could have been devastating.

In fact, if that guy left home even 5 seconds sooner, I would have been in that.

Gee, I wonder why Apple (value $1tn) don't seem in a rush to add a feature that means people don't need two handsets...

And I look in horror toward the moment in time when my phone finally gives up and I'll just have to replace it. It still has enough battery juice for a week (at the rate I do use it).

I'm planning to visit a local brand store one day, ask for whoever there is best in dealing with difficult customers, and tell that person: I had this phone by your company since February of 2012. It does fit my phone requirements almost ideally, but as you can see, after over 7 years of daily use it is starting to have enough of it. Having that in mind, what can your brand offer me? Take your time sir/ma'am, and think. Think it through real well...

:upside_down_face:...something in me asks whether I should be propping a big nasty axe (I hope I have enough contacts in historical reenacment circles to borrow one ;)) when paying that visit...:upside_down_face:
