A Sectoral with ORCs in Fusilier linkteams with Wildcard Kamaus and Cutters/Squalos is going to have heinous, and I mean fucking heinous, firepower. PanOceania ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 ORC Lieutenant HMG / Pistol, Knife. (2 | 44) KAMAU (Multispectral Visor L2) MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 32) FUSILIER (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12) FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) FUSILIER Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) CUTTER MULTI HMG / . (2.5 | 115) CRABBOT Flash Pulse / Knife. () MACHINIST Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) TRAUMA-DOC Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14) CROC MAN (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 32) PATHFINDER DRONBOT Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army That's some serious fucking ouch right there! God damn!
Like, I dunno guys. I don't play PanO any more. But I'd say that CB have clearly shown where they want to go with PanO and you might as well embrace it; guns, guns and more guns. BS 15 TAGs with TO Camo! TO Camo spam in general! ODD REMs with MML2! ORCs and Kamau linking in with 10pt line 0 SWC LT line troopers!
I think all the minelayers have that, like how all the Multisnipers are 1.5. I dunno, that's still only two attack pieces: ORC+Kamau+Fusilink and the Cutter.
Aleph in PanO is thematic and provides our only good specialists in ASA tho (Nagas) And you'll probably do a lot better because you're not running a bloated HI who dies to a CC Warband. A 5-man link of Keisotsu with an HMG is just as good of a shot as a Daiyokai, also higher burst, and provides 5 orders to boot. They also peform pretty much just as well in praxtice as a Daiyokai does against any mid or higher tier CC specialist (CC23 + MA3 or above)
If someone gets a Domaru into your defensive link you've either been massively outplayed, deployed incredibly poorly, or it's turn 3 and it doesn't matter that much anyway.
But that is a pretty sweet attack piece... I mean I counted a Crane + CG link as one of my top 5 link teams. A Orc as a spearhead to a five man is pretty sweet.
Yeah, it's a pretty beastly attack piece, as is a Cutter. But there's still only two of them. My notorious Samurai 7 list has 3 (DoTanko link, O-Yoroi, and this dude named Yojimbo). Stick my O-Yoroi into your link team, send my DoTankos after the Cutter, and I still have Yojimbo to deal with the Croc Man and the bot. Section9's 5th Rule of Thumb for listbuilding: 5. Plan. What are you going to do when (not if) someone kills both your primary and secondary attack pieces?
But as someone posted 1-2 pages back, CB appears to be doubling down on the PanO theme of guns and more guns. So with that in mind, this is surely less of a concern in Varuna. Everything seems to be concentrated dakka. Our medkits don't work half the time cause there are bullets in the dispensers for some reason and the doctors are trying out shoot out the enemy bullets from our soldiers bodies...
Haqqislam ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 2 MUYIB (Minelayer) Rifle + Light Shotgun, D.E.P. Antipersonnel Mines, E/Mauler / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24) FARZAN (Minelayer) Boarding Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 23) 0 SWC | 47 Points Open in Infinity Army :( my roommate who plays haqq likes to rub it in my face. also makes it a hassle if I'm trying to count SWC/Points. I hope so. PanO is the Hyperpower – it's about time we play like it
you eat your opponent , which only makes me more sad there arent more pieces with protheion running around :D
True. But it still needs a 3rd attacker to my eyes. Maybe the MSR? And makes me glad that there aren't many pieces with Protheion running around!
