But the montesa are actually a Portuguese order At one point there was a Portuguese order of montesa, but I've never heard of a brazilian one
The order is fine from wherever, it’s the settlers on Acontecimento, mostly Brazilians and from the subcontinent.
Original order was/is from Aragorn Aragon apparently, current Infinity one is AFAIK just Aconticimentoan since it was arguably reformed at some point as the current order is more or less a title of the Spanish monarch today, maybe a bit similar to the knighthood orders of other royal families with the added complication of Franco dissolving/trying to dissolve the Spanish Knights Orders. I'm not sure, Spain's history, kingdoms, and royal titles make the various kingdoms of the British Isles look downright straightforward with how many twists, turns, invasions, conquests, revolutions and abdications all happened in the lead-up to today.
Actually you are not talking about the Comunidad Autónoma at all, as they are inventions of compromise created in 1978, when the Knights were long gone. Good luck trying to give lessons to someone who is actually Aragonian
I've been hoping for k-night riders ever since I started Infinity with MO. Extremely excited for this, and can't wait to see what the PanO flavor of bikes will look like! Maybe something similar to the Aleph motorcycles?
Not giving lessons, more receiving them. I did say Spanish history looked complicated earlier Hopefully they're at least an interesting bit of KITT regardless of how much sense they do or do not ultimately make
I'm also interested if Montesa Knights will keep their iconic green, or if they will don a more Varunan scheme to match their Varunan compatriots.
In reality, JGSDF utilize motorcycle troops as a reconnaissance and a fast intervention unit. Their main operation purpose is intercept enemy landing operations and infiltration attempts in critical locations. So basically, they are rapid mobile intervention units for anti infiltration and coastal operation. It's perfectly fitting with the VIRD's operational profile. In areas where enemy infiltration attempts are frequent, such as a coastal region of Paradiso campaign, a small number of mobile intervention units located in the regional outposts may be more efficient than the send a dropship for every infiltration attempt. In fact, knights are just another PMC's troop except they are devout Christians. So I can't find a good reason why they shouldn't be included in the VIRD. In game wise, a heavy infantry on the bike is freaking cool.
Please forgive him. You do know that North Americans think everyone in Spain is Andalusian, like in that movie ¡Bienvenido Mr. Marshall! I find the idea of more biker units in the game to be singularly absurd. Will it trade its sword ccw for a lance? Special Skill: Joust level 2. And the bike's name? Rocinante, of course ;) The mini itself could end up being all sorts of awesome, mind you. I do want to see it, and maybe buy it and paint it, but play it? Uhm, no. Too silly. The rest of the news sounds interesting enough. I wonder what it bodes for our forthcoming ASA update?
I'm merely a Silly Scot, not a Clueless Canuck or Uninformed USAmerican. They are and they do! ... Windmill is code for Submachine Guns, right?
Wow, that went ugly. That mold is going to be unusable, anyway, for the mounted model. Assuming you meant recycling the old molds for dismounts, well, not too many bikers actually bother dismounting. This may be due to a lack of dismounted models in the boxes, but still. More as recon units, which is a classic Cavalry role. You should have seen the YJ forums back in March-April when Uprising was announced. nuclear-level flamewars. Fixt. On a motorcycle so that he can get to the scene through the gridlocked traffic. Pantyslayer's standard (or Yojimbo's) bike is plenty big enough. The new Aragoto bike is, too. Transforms from enclosed motorcycle to small jet boat like the toy from the Spy Hunter PS2 games. Helicopters, even at ready-5, still take time to find a spot to let their riders off. You're usually better off relying on ground elements to get to the scene and use helicopters for medevac. Current training for 'active shooter' situations (which are terrorist attacks without a political motivation) involves getting responders on-scene and hunting the idjit ASAP, instead of the older 'wait for SWAT to respond'. Because every active shooter confronted by anyone with a weapon blows their own brains out before an officer can shoot them. But I agree that the Montessas are a strange choice for Varuna's sectorial. Yeah, I think the Montessas are a strange choice. I just hope that if CB makes any Knight on a motorcycle, they will give more serious thought to the April Fool's Hatamoto (Domaru on Motorcycles). It works, you want to get someone on-scene trying to stop the Active Shooter ASAP while the SWAT guys get their butts in gear. Yeah, you would have thought that the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher would have been the nominee for the biker treatment, right? *Baps mothman with a rolled-up New York Times* Bad mothman! No! [ edit ] I'm yelling at Teslarod here, not you, Mothman. Apparently when you ignore someone it does stupid shit to your own post, too WTF are you smoking? CC18 or 19 is the start of 'actually competent enough in CC to make it worth trying'! No, it's not CC23 or 24 MA3+. Someone with those stats is a CC expert. Berserk CC23 MA3, EM+Shock or DA+Shock sucks? Neko is CC24 MA3 AP+EXP, and Yojimbo is CC24 MA4 DA. Maybe I should just put you on ignore... Now you're deliberately misquoting me. I have NEVER said that there is no such thing as a bad list. I have ALWAYS said that there is no such thing as a list that will win the game for you. You can go fuck off on my ignore list now. No, man, you missed it. A transforming motorcycle/jet ski like from the PS2 Spy Hunter games! Funny, I really prefer the basic Domaru to the Big Monster. [ Comic Sans ] Especially since the Big Monster (close translation) is only CC20 and MA2, so he's obviously trash! [ /Comic Sans ]
I was coming in straight out of eight hours away from the fora I had not got to the entry about the hover/transformer/boatercycle entries yet.
That... Went bad. Ok. . . . Back on track. Montesa might be an odd choice, but I can see it working as a split profile Mechanised/Bikers. That feels like a good fit. But the whole mixed teams thing has me worried ...
This. Adding Orcs to a Fusi Fireteam feels off. Adding Kamau to an Orc Fireteam OTOH seems reasonable. I think it'll depend a lot on implementation. But it also runs the risk of "one Fireteam option". Orcs+Fusi+Kamau Fireteam seems stupidly versatile, why would you run anything else?
Oh please yes. If being on your ignore lists means you'll stop quoting me and I get spared with your wisdom. That would be great, please do. btw Fusiliers - Combi Rifle vs. Fusiliers - Combi Rifle Active Player 58.83% Fusiliers inflicts 1 or more wounds on Fusiliers (Unconscious) 23.49% Fusiliers inflicts 2 or more wounds on Fusiliers (Dead) Failures 25.95% Neither player succeeds Reactive Player 15.21% Fusiliers inflicts 1 or more wounds on Fusiliers (Unconscious) Spoiler http://inf-dice.ghostlords.com/n3/?p1.faction=PanOceania&p1.unit=Fusiliers&p1.w_type=W&p1.type=LI&p1.cc=13&p1.bs=12&p1.ph=10&p1.wip=12&p1.arm=1&p1.bts=0&p1.w=1&p1.w_taken=0&p1.symbiont=0&p1.operator=0&p1.immunity=&p1.hyperdynamics=0&p1.ikohl=0&p1.ch=0&p1.msv=0&p1.marksmanship=0&p1.xvisor=0&p1.fatality=0&p1.full_auto=0&p1.action=bs&p1.weapon=Combi+Rifle&p1.stat=BS&p1.ammo=Normal&p1.b=3&p1.dam=13&p1.range=8-16/+3&p1.link=0&p1.viz=0&p1.ma=0&p1.guard=0&p1.protheion=0&p1.nbw=0&p1.gang_up=0&p1.coordinated=0&p1.hacker=Hacking+Device&p1.hack_program=Blackout&p1.hack_b=1&p1.misc_mod=0&p2.faction=PanOceania&p2.unit=Fusiliers&p2.w_type=W&p2.type=LI&p2.cc=13&p2.bs=12&p2.ph=10&p2.wip=12&p2.arm=1&p2.bts=0&p2.w=1&p2.w_taken=0&p2.symbiont=0&p2.operator=0&p2.immunity=&p2.hyperdynamics=0&p2.ikohl=0&p2.ch=0&p2.msv=0&p2.marksmanship=0&p2.xvisor=0&p2.fatality=0&p2.full_auto=0&p2.action=bs&p2.weapon=Combi+Rifle&p2.stat=BS&p2.ammo=Normal&p2.b=1&p2.dam=13&p2.range=0-8/+3&p2.link=0&p2.viz=0&p2.ma=0&p2.guard=0&p2.protheion=0&p2.nbw=0&p2.gang_up=0&p2.coordinated=0&p2.hacker=Hacking+Device&p2.hack_program=Blackout&p2.hack_b=1&p2.misc_mod=0 Knights of Montesa - VS a Linetrooper you're better off bringing a Linetrooper with a gun yourself (could still just shoot with the Montesa though). VS a TO troop you're better off shooting the guy with the Montesa's gun. VS ideal scenario TO/ODD in SF, the Montesa is still better off hugging Cover and shooting for the first Order. Guys, please stop. It's not good. Oh btw I don't remember you in the 30 Fusilier thing. But I'm also pretty sure the guy who claimed "there are no bad list period" wasn't you. If you want to feel offended be my guest. BTW the Daiyokai's CC is better than the Domaru's. He actually has a way to get up the field by himself (a Red Fury and BS13) and PH14 DA MA2 goes a long way to redeem his shitty CC20. Then again he barely scratches the minimum requirement for his pointconst. In JSA that doesn't get you anywhere, Internal competition for proper CC Specialists is steep. For anyone wondering a bare minimum competent solo CC troop (outside of Warbands) would be something like a Bandit (with DA CCW) or a Myrmidion (with DA CCW).
Now put the Croc Men in cover, like BS targets usually are. Or do the stats not support your argument in that situation? (Spoiler - they don't, even if using Assault.)
