Right, like Stiopa says, it's all info presented by CB during conventions in the last couple of months. Specifically, mentioned during seminars and featured in Dossier art for new units.
Unfortunately mt geographical location and work make 95% of the convention scene untenable and all I have ever seen in the seminar videos I have found were OohRah aren't we great look at the renders aren't they pretty. Very little in the way of actual information. I'll see again if I can find anything useful on the CB website.
Most of events new stuff is posted on CB youtube. You can also find it pretty easily in releases thread on forums. And I think some extra renders were posted on CB site.
Mostly because CB sits pretty tight on that info. We know we're getting new units, we know they're getting more flexible weapon mix than usual for PanO - including a Jammer for Zulu Cobras. we know we're getting standard Camo. ORCs are getting more weapons, at least a Feuerbach. Starter will be very SWC-heavy. That's about it for now. We will probably get some more info over October, just like it was with OSS and TAK. edit: and now we've got this new, earth-shaking info about Squalo Duos, flexible links, and fcukin' Montesa Bikers. Oh man...
The amusing thing here being that SM are actually one of the worst armies currently for 40k. :P Army bonuses for them are restricted to specific units while others get it on everything.
To live is to learn, I guess :P My point stands, if the changes will make MO more playable, and I fully expect that to be the case, than I'm not complaining.
I am, as long as bikes are in Varuna it's a case of Missing the Point. If they wanted them? They should have been in MO.
Sharing units between sectorials is not a bad thing. Nor is changing the sectorial's fluff to include new units. The only question is if they'll fit in with the rest of the army. And at the moment we have no way of knowing that.
You know what is though? When you had a chance to add that unit somewhere else entirely but instead crammed it into the newest thing rather than putting it where it fits better. Especially when you just discontinued production on the actual damn Sectorial where that unit was present. The answer is "NO". Nothing that we have seen from the rest of Varuna indicates that Montesa Knights make any kind of logical sense, let alone Montesa Knights on motorcycles. And don't bring that "but they're fast and can prevent people from escaping!". So can snipers prepositioned, drop troops(Echo Bravos), minefields deployed from range, etc.
Because bikes are pretty lame most of the time? Can't have they kept the bikes for Arianda and Nomads and call it a day? :)
Because they don't need them, obviously :P By the same logic no one needs TAGs, Remotes, Camo, Warbands...
