I've noticed that Season X PDF supposedly had a typo in the description of the Mapping mission, but now it seems that this typo has made its way into newly printed Classified Deck cards. Specifically, the Standard version of the mission requires either a Hacker or Forward Observer, while Extreme version of the mission allows only the Hacker to fulfil the mission. But the objective description for both versions is exactly the same. Would there be an errata or a second printing? What about those who have already purchased their decks?
I think that's the point of the Extreme Mode. You ONLY have the FO to do the job. Less options to complete the Card.
the text below is the same between Normal and Extreme, which is inconsistent. I was thinking the typo was that Normal would be enemy table half rather than DZ. It looks like the typo instead could be that you need a non-hacker FO for Extreme; which in turn would mean you now must add a FO to the ever expending list of specific must-have trooper to start your ITS10 army list.
If the cards get errated, CB should "freely" send the erated cards to those who buy it. I don't pay 10 € for a misprint mistake.
Well, until I implement that, you can just fetch the cards you've chosen in the Manual mode. But I'm working on it
In case anyone was looking for an answer, the Spanish version of the ITS10 rules (accessible here: https://assets.infinitythegame.net/downloads/itsrules/season10/es/v1.0/season10.pdf) has it right -- it only mentions the FO in Mapping (Extreme mode) requirements and text, so only a Trooper with Forward Observer can fulfil this Classified Objective in Extreme mode. @HellLois can you confirm this?
