Question 1:Can you deploy a mine in ARO without LOS? For reference: from ARO It has a Special Skill or piece of Equipment allowing reaction to enemy actions without LoF. But I can't find anything specific about mine laying in ARO. Can I drop a mine if a non-stealth model is taking and action in my ZoC while in smoke. ------------------- Question 2: can someone explain mines and Intuitive attacks? For Reference: from MINES Mines and Intuitive Attacks This weapon allows the user to make Intuitive Attacks: by passing a WIP Roll, you can lay a Mine even if an enemy Camouflage and Hiding Marker is inside the Trigger Area. I always thought that you could place mines at any time even near a camo . I know there is a restriction when using the minelayer skill (near camo markers).

Mines don't say they can be used as an ARO without LoF, so they can't.
Can you give an example? The closest I can find is a Jammer that states no LoF is needed for an attack. But nothing specifically about AROing. Considering Mines never need LoS/LoF and technically are not attacks. Going back to the rules you quoted "piece of Equipment that can be used without LoF." which a mine qualifies as since its never needs LoF
1. See the Requirements for the Mines Skill. ;-) REQUIREMENTS In the Reactive Turn, LoF to the Active trooper is required. 2. See the yellow box in the Mines rule: REMEMBER A Mine cannot be placed if there is an enemy Camouflage or TO Marker inside its Trigger Area. This rule does not apply if there is a valid, non-camouflaged enemy inside the Trigger Area, or if the Mine is deployed as an Intuitive Attack.
Oops... Out of curiosity... what do all the rules quoted above apply to then. If you miss that 1 line, the other 2 spots imply its possible. Is there any "piece of Equipment that can be used without LoF."?
Hacking and Jammers can be used without LoF, but inside ZoC (or Hacking area). EDIT - I derped, Hacking Devices are equipment, Jammers are a weapon. I had a quick scan through the usual deployable equipment and couldn't find anything that didn't require LoF in ARO.
If a mine-carrying trooper is in a fireteam of 4+ and is subjected to an attack from outside of LOF, such as Speculative Fire, this mine-laying trooper may respond with dropping a mine (forgoing Dodging, etc) thanks to Sixth Sense removing the requirement for LOF, is what I mean.
