For me I like most of the Tak units and the feel of the army. But since most of the stuff is costly and I want allways something of everything Im interested for now mainly in the FT:Duo options TAK have: Ratnik+Vet.Kazak Dynamo+Vet.Kazak 2x Dynamo. Will test these extensively in future moths till we get models for Frontoviks and Line.Kazak. At that point will probably try the strightforward approach with strong link as the core of a list.
@Stiopa I really love that list! Strong link team, good mid field presence, LT insurance and 5 orders for your Katyusha. Very nice
So anyone else infinity army mobile app not showing the frontoviks profiles and loadouts? I get the SWC and points but no equipment
Okay was hoping I didnt miss a quick fix. I'm very excited getting stuff painted though thought I'd never be this excited to have Russians fighting alongside my rangers
Ok, here's what i came up with. Had 1 test game vs Haqq (10 orders tho, he was in quite a pain), and won. Tartary Army Corps ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 8 2 2 FRONTOVIK Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 23) VETERAN KAZAK AP HMG / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (2 | 47) LINE KAZAK Lieutenant Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) LINE KAZAK Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) LINE KAZAK Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) LINE KAZAK Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) LINE KAZAK Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) STRELOK K-9 Submachine Gun, Chain-colt, Antipersonnel Mines + 1 K-9 Antipode / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24) K-9 ANTIPODE Trench-hammer, AP CC Weapon. (8) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) GROUP 2 7 3 2 PAVEL McMANNUS Ojotnik, Chain-colt, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, T2 CCW, Knife. (0 | 31) SPETSNAZ (CH: Ambush Camouflage) HMG / Pistol, CCW, Knife. (1.5 | 38) 112 Light Shotgun / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 12) STRELOK (Minelayer) Boarding Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21) DOZER (Traktor Mul Control Device) Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14) TRAKTOR MUL (Minesweeper) Electric Pulse. (0 | 5) TRAKTOR MUL (Minesweeper) Electric Pulse. (0 | 5) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) IRMANDINHO Chain Rifle, D-Charges, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) WARCOR (Aerocam) Flash Pulse / Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 3) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army
btw you take those traktor muls just for cheap orders? But dozer is 14, for 27pts you can get 3 kazaks comapred to 24, though, mulls are harder to hide, and are more or less useless if anyone comes close. Kazaks can still go into supression etc. Do people find it worth it to go this route rather than 3 kazaks?
I agree, in most sectorials a cheap bot is with it as you have a hacker anyway and it's cheaper than a line trooper. Line kazakhs work out cheaper and can be used as replacements in a link. The Mul takes up too much space in the deployment zone and if I need an engineer then it will either be an irmandino or a frontovnik in a link.
Nothing wrong with Minesweeper Mules. If you are going to take a Kuryer anyway. Just to get 3 Orders, 3 Line Kazaks are maybe the better option. And in his list 3 Line Kazaks would not fit the Points.
In the end i will stick with 3 Line Kazaks with Rifle. And maybe the 4 Special Weapons guys when the are released.
So I have a question in regards to the Vet Kazaks, I couldnt find it in this thread but if I missed it forgive me. The Wild card rule, Im assuming you still follow fireteam limits? so I could be looking at a fire team core of 3 Line Kazaks 1 Frontovik and 1 vet Kazak correct? Not 4 Line Kazaks 1 Frontovik and 1 Vet Kazak?
Yeah, Fireteam: Core still maxes at 5, Haris at 3, and Duo at 2 troopers, the wildcard doesn't change that.
I’m feeling overwhelmed with choices. I really want to try a dynamo duo, I want a ratnik/Vet duo, I want a frontivik core, I want streloks, antipodes, scouts, spetsnaz. Apparently I need like a 500 point list. Cutting things out is hard. I’m not sure that any are needed, but they look fun.
@Stiopa I like the list. I was playing around with something similar. I had CoC Vassili instead of Pavel, which seemed a comparable trade, but it let me free up the points in your Chain of Command Tankhunter to just buy multiple Irmandinhos instead. Loses out on the versatility of Pavel, but you gain all the excellence of Irmandinhos.
That's a nice way to go as well. I really wanted to try out McMannus, though. TAK sure is spoiled for choices. Yeah. I know I've said it before, but creating a list for either TAK and OSS feels like going shopping to a mall with too small a shopping basket and too thin of a wallet. There's so many choices, and everything's so good...
Played a game tonight with the TAK. Some observations... AVA 4 Irmandinhos create all sorts of problems for your opponent, even if you use their own orders to carry them across the board. That said, if you have a few orders for maneuver they can do a pretty good job. They do well in an order pool alone with Streloks and maybe an ARO piece, who you aren't going to spend early orders moving anyway so you don't disturb their Ambush Camo. With 3 orders (plus the Irmies own orders), I was able to get one across the field to hose a Fusilier ML and clear up some lanes. Playing TAK is an exercise in book-keeping unless you specifically try to avoid it. Our main deep deployment Skirmisher (Streloks) put down 2-3 markers each. 3 Streloks, an Antipode Pack, a Spetsnaz and Vassily put down 14 camo markers in my last game and, honestly, it was a little bit disorienting. That's coming from someone who has been playing Vanilla Ariadna since the beginning. Ambush Camo, IMO, is a case of diminishing returns - your opponent knows that half of your markers are probably nothing so a good player can bait you into revealing early. In Vanilla, everything is deadly so everything warrants a second look. The Vet Kazak / Line Kazak mixed link is strong as long as it can hang together in the backfield. Once it moves upfield, it's susceptible to being picked apart or engaged at bad range bands. Remember, the Vet Kazak HMG lacks a LFT, which is a huge part of the Vet Kazak lethality package combined with SSL2. IMO, the MK12 LFT Vet Kazak will probably be a better link companion than the HMG, considering none of the other guys pack a DTW, and you can always include a HRL Frontie for longer range engagements. The Vet Kazak LT will remain a good low-SWC HMG, but he's better in a mobile package by himself than with a link.
