Yep, total surprise, noone will expect sforza after seeing that OSS guy acually could take anything more than a couple of Lamekh and Netrods. Sforza could actually be good hiding mechanism for Shukra though.
Using Fzorsa to be three models ruins the surprise since one look at the Order Pool would show eight. You need for him to holo, in that list, something expessive and so dangerous your opponent will fixate it. A Spotfire Asura would be an excellent choice for that. Sendt fra min VTR-L29 med Tapatalk
So following my understanding of how NCO (or suboficial if you like) works, I really want to use this in Limited Insertion. 12 Regular Orders, plenty of specialists and infowar experts, lots of firepower and a variety of cool troops. Also Shakti's Sucker Punch Upgrade actually means that both her and the Asura can ARO with the same program if a hacker comes within 8" of both without someone getting knocked out of the team! you mean like using red rum? otherwise is very much like what I'd like to run, I feel very comfortable in LI lists.
All hacking programs are individual skills (for reasons unbeknownst to me) and a fireteam has to declare the same skill in ARO or leave the team, so if the Asura declares Sucker Punch and Shakti declares Redrum, Haris falls apart. But as Shakti actually has Sucker Punch too as an upgrade, even though it's strictly worse than Redrum, it means they can both use it! Not that I think that anyone actually pays for upgraded programs. Or if they do it's a part cost. But wev. Also I felt bad about not having a Doctor, and was like "Paramedics are only good for the Classified where you need to prod their HVT with a stethoscope or something" but then I realised that most of the army has V:NWI so eh.
I understand that but Shakti has a killer which has Redrum by default, and the Asura is HD+ with Redrum upgrade. There's still no need for sucker punch.
I'm super liking the flavor of all this sectorial can do, there's so many cool possibilities... Jumping on the four Asuras idea, here's a silly list where it turns out that only one of them is Sforza! Would be a laugh. You need to start without Fireteam Haris up, to maintain the illusion that the Asura hackers are fake. You then get to watch your opponent creep around, really reserved, expecting TO models to pop out of every corner.
So something that was just said in a rules thread gave me an idea. One Rudra can join any Yadu fireteam, right? And your one Samekh can join any fireteam. What about a Core of Yadu with a Rudra and a Samekh? Probably still not an Apsara job, since both REMs start at BS12, but with the Rudra in there a Danava or something can provide hacking support from a safe distance. Because of the Samekh, it's cheaper than a standard full Core of Yadus, and with Assisted Fire you get an effective BS18 Rudra (and Samekh but you can already get that).
I actually made a similar list last night. SWC would get tight for the Samekh too, but could drop the HRL if you wanted that. Nah they're just doing the maths with different assumptions. BS with no negative MODs. BS12+3(Fireteam)+3(Range) vs BS13+3(Fireteam)+3(Range) = BS18 vs 19 Whereas the "effective" BS: BS12+3(Fireteam)+3(Range)+3(Ignores cover) vs BS13+3(Fireteam)+3(Range) = BS21vs 19 Whereas I think it's best expressed assuming cover, so BS18 vs 16. Because this is the most 'standard' target number. I think you were expecting the third?
Since when you add +3 for "ignoring cover" ? Ignoring cover means you switch from -3 to 0. Srsly not having one watermelon and having one watermelon is two watermelons.
You must bring 2 watermelons to a watermelon eating competition. I have a "counts as watermelon" card that I won at last year's competition that allows me to bring only one watermelon. I don't have two literal watermelons I have two effective watermelons.
