So I've just checked how Cybermines work. Since they're defended against with a Reset roll (on a WIP-3), forcing enemy to defend against a shooting ARO at the same time (from a Dasyu, for example, or Kiranbots themselves) makes the chance of Immobilizing him much higher. And further attempts to Reset can be met with unopposed shots. Looks like Arjuna with bots will be even better speed bump than I thought. Park one near an objective and suddenly enemy hackers have pretty poor chances of reaching it quickly.
The main thing I have to say is oh god thank you so much CB for making Asuras actually amazing exactly as they should be. 13 orders on that fiercely divine bitch is gonna be SO MUCH FUN.
Any word on Shakti? And her KHD being "upgraded" with Sucker Punch, when it is an inferior version of Redrum?
How does this work without "up to 2 rudras" or "Rudras counts as Yadu" when it explicitly calls for 2 Yadus of you want to include an Asura? I get the Samekh and Rudras because they're both replacing 2 "Yadus" in their general haris with the Samekh having wildcard and the Rudras able to join yeah rule. I don't see how this works based on what I understood for the NA2 special firearms where a stated special fireteam needed exactly what was posted :(
I'm unsure on adding the flexible REMs to the 2x+1y fireteams too. Coukd have been worded better. The up to and up to dakini fire team makes doing whatever and a ML obviously legal. Having 2 deva and a samekh in a list can potentially give you a lot of core plus harris options to choose from at deployment too.
Arjuns with disposable E/Marat bots were a surprise. Based on the mythos of Arjun I had expected MSV 2 and SWC weapons out the ass. Sendt fra min VTR-L29 med Tapatalk
I think Army is still working out the bugs. The wiki has been updated with the PDF contents YADU Troopers, Tactical Assault Teams Duo, Haris, Core, Special Special Fireteam: Haris. 2 Yadus + 1 Deva. Special Fireteam: Haris. 2 Yadus + 1 Asura. Special Fireteam: up to 1 Rudras can join any Yadu Troops Fireteam. Special Fireteam. Shakti counts as a Yadu Trooper for Fireteam composition.
They will have Core. Seemslike this is one of several bugs. There is a pdf wich say they will (some worcor postet this several times in this thread) Edit: Ninjat with a better answer xD
Check the wiki or read the profiles PDF. Fireteam Core is not a skill and, realistically, has no place being in the skill bar in Army.
First impression of Vedric: Its what Pano is suppose to be, the high tech force that lacks smoke and warbands but is great at everything else including hacking. Edit: You can make some nasty limited insertion lists with the Marut and post-humans (my god are they amazing). One of the standard ways of dealing with TAG is abusing smoke which is not possible vs the Marut. Sure, white noise is a threat but that is FAR more limited in the game. The Marut is much more difficult for low tech armies to deal with. Multi-rifle cybermask LT 2 Asura is also pretty darn good. I've always liked the girl as a hacker even with the combi but shes certainly more deadly now. MSV3 + shock ammo is always good vs camo/warband spam. The Yadu and Rudras provide Aleph with more HI like options. Which is pretty darn cool. Yadu are what I wish bolts were. Actually tough and with a haris option that includes the drop bears. Suboffical on the HMG is just amazing. Also, don't forget the wildcard Samekh FTO which can provide a REM based (buffable) missile launcher to any linked team in the sectorial. Overall, I'd say this sectorial is both strong and has quite a large variety of ways to play it. You can take an elite/expensive camo lists, a REM heavy lists, core team + Haris, etc. This faction will be quite strong in limited insertion.
The army only says "Fireteam Core Special: up to 4 Dakinis +". And I don't know if when I wrote that the article you refer was up, and not having news of the Sophotect linkability was... strange.
We've been through this before. If/when Army starts including the full Fireteam notes you can start using it as a reference for Fireteams. Until that point, the Sectorial charts are the definitive source for Fireteam options.
Im in love with the Asuras Multi Rifle LT Hacker. At first, oh boy that new model is so awesome. Second, as Datatracker in missions as Frostbyte she gets 13 orders. 10 + 2 Lt +1 DT. We have 20 objectives. 4 are very situational (Predator, Extreme prejudice, In Extremiss Recovery, Rescue) and 5 cannot be fulfilled by her (Experimental Drug, HVT Inoculation, HVT Retroengineering, Test Run, Sabotage). So she can do 11 out of 16/20 objectives.
And it's a big flag for the opponent :) She is indeed powerful and i intend to play her, but we must be careful not to expose her too much
I'm sure this has been said but my take is that I want the updated profiles on Vanilla/Phalanx, and if Andromeda doesn't get the same or a different change they should have made her a Vedic troop available on Phalanx. Not in a hurry thou. Otherwise I like it and one of my favorite troops the Asura finding a good place makes me happy. I'd still prefer them on Vanilla unless they don't get the Lt2 options.
It's an Asura though. In her Active Turn she's hard to deal with. Which forces the opponent to after her in the Inactive Turn and if you can protect then it's often lose/lose for the opponent. Sendt fra min VTR-L29 med Tapatalk
