    It is the first time that I see a faction in Infinity that, at least on paper, appears seriously broken.
    I'm not sure I'm happy about it...

    They got the yadu officer shakti, the apseras cyber dancer, and the multirifle Rudras Gunbot.

    Looking at voronin I find it hilarious he can triangulated fire with his t2 boarding shotgun.

    Also having vet kazaks able to bring their own engineer for backup is fantastic.

    I don't really see how TAK could be construed as broken. Yes, there are some nice little gimmicks. But there's hardly anything like a 5pt model with jammer a la Haqqislam or the powerhouse of ISS. There aren't any named chaacters that are in the same ball park as Tarik. I do like the flavour of mixing link teams, it gives TAK a fighting chance.

    Nah, don't worry.

    Kazaks are hard hitters, but really squishy as well. Yes, it's hard to hit them due to Cammo and Mimetism, but with one failed ARM (or lucky crit) most of them go down.
    Kazak army is terrifying at the start of the game, but if they don't decimate opponent in first half, the Kazak power is steadily vanishing.

    Thanks for posting the beyond box in here, just where is everyone going to be sourcing all those shotgun strelok models being used in all these lists?

    Kinda wondering how to list up with the coldfront and beyond boxes with some spetsnaz models. Seems we'll need to proxy the weapon options a fair bit.

    At least until we have a third strelok with BS.

    What do you think is broken about them? I feel it is a very comfortable faction with amazing tools and certainly very strong, but in no way broken. I haven’t seen a single list posted yet that I would think is substantially stronger for tournament play than a good vanilla ariadna list.

    Which is kinda funny because most succesful and reliable part of Kazaks armies was always light infantry known for its resilance and steadfast attitude against the all odds. The longer the game goes the stronger kazaks "should" get.

    I really like strelok design and everything but is only me that thinks that having a bs11 t2 marskman rifle profile for 29 even if tempting is a bit too expansive? What do you guys think? I think marskman rifles are great and would definitely like to use them, but it's few points short of ojotnik scout or even spetnaz.

    It seems good, competitive and interesting but definitely not broken, they're pretty expensive and their based around camo and mimetism with no way to counter sensors, or smoke and no sources of white noise.

    You can marker spam them but if your opponent can deal with that using one of the many available tools outside of ariadna what's underneath each marker? an armour 1 BTS 0 single wound model which dies to shock, mines, koalas or any warband with a chain rifle.

    ISS are going to love fighting these guys.

    It's a list with significant disadvantages, as a few anecdotal examples:
    Technological witchcraft!: it took my vet Kazak HMG four orders to shoot an ODD unit 9 out of cover in the back in my last game, the most elite units in TAK don't even compete with the Sui-jian, the Hsien, the aquilla, the Charontid, the asura and you're not going to do well trying to brute force a queasy borat.
    No drop troops or hidden deployment gotchas. The game before that using pure Kazaks I couldn't get a spetznas onto the board in a decent position as the board sides were under decent guard. TAK playstyle appears to be skirmish screen and pitched battle line
    Unimaginative internet passwords: Ratniks and tractors are gonna get pitcher-blivioned and that wardriver will have to be pretty brave to pull off that hacking based classified. And flash pulses are unpleasant, first time I used a ratnik it got flash pulsed and then stabbed by an oniwaban

    Loving the wildcards rule, gives you the flavour that the Kazak army is built around its veterans, I'd like a similar rule for Raktoraks in Morats

    unfortunately that is the Morat shtick, but come to think about it, handing out veteran1 to more profiles wuld be interesting and fluffy
    Or even give it to all the links, as long as there´s a Vet in them, hell why stop there, give me a inspiring Veteran skill and a Vet Kazak Charakter
    Now we can grind down the enemy with a heavy aplha strike and keep strong during the attrition mid- to endgame.

    The trick is don't shoot at these units. It's like rock-paper-scissors; if something's good at shooting or makes you bad at shooting through neg visual mods, don't shoot at it. TAK hath blessed us with 2x Assault Packs.

    Use the Antipodes, Luke.

    All Traktor Mull passwords are just "password" in Russian.

    Incidentally I totally agree with AG. Those camo markers all hide pretty squishy and relatively expensive types.

    Also TAK seems quite different to USAriadna to me. They rely on high ARM, MI, and aggressive in your face tactics. Marauders, Van Zant, Bikes (some with Forward Deployment!), HFTs... not the same as TAK.
